Its good that for some languages an english "no" sounds the same. Like spanish, italian, french... Worst thing is for the languages that "no" sounds different because then they have to figure it out how to change the lyrics to still make it sounds good.
@andreadias81363 жыл бұрын
For exemple in Portuguese the “no” is “não” but it still sounded good so they didn’t change anything, but in Polish they had to change Bruno’s name
@viajourney3 жыл бұрын
@@andreadias8136 Like for you because you find out I'm Polish 😆 Actually, they were pretty accurate in Polish. There are cases in our grammar and depending of the case we change ends of words. So "we don't talk about BRUNO" is literally translated to "Nie mówimy o BRUNIE" and since "no" is "nie" in Polish this actually worked out pretty well. 😆 "Nie mówimy o Brunie nie, nie, nie." But we were still more lucky than some others 😅

Your comment on how Camillo sounds younger in this version and about how in the English he sounds older made me think about how Camillo and Mirabel are both supposed to be 15 in the movie? Camillo is only a few months older than Mirabel and it's interesting because the themes of the movie kind of make it seem that Mirabel is early 20's at the youngest.

I think both camillos, both spanish and english, are excellent. That being said, I actually like the english version of camillo better. I agree he sounds more mature - his voice has a bit more body. But this quality of his voice anchors the english version's climax much better. At the end, where everyone is singing on top of each other and setting up the dining table, you can hear english camillo's voice much more clearly than spanish camillo's. I think the body and weight of the voice in english is able to tie together the disparate elements of the final part of the song much better, specifically because he sounds a bit more mature and has a bit of weight to his voice. It gives a distinctive, steady lower part for the rest of the singers to build off of. In the spanish version I felt the climax was a bit more chaotic because camillo's vocals were not as rounded out. As a result, camillo's voice has less presence. On the other hand, it let the other singers shine a bit more. You can hear their parts much more clearly with less of camillo in the lower registers jamming out. I think its mostly preference but I really like the english camillo's voice for that reason.
