It's the drums, it has those clap sounds which pretty much always indicate a build up, then the rapid fire snare which literally always means a drop right after. I dunno if it was intentional misdirection, but it sure as hell is confusing lol.

Yep, Mimi has that swagger that all the great rappers have such as Moonbyul, Lisa, and LE. As the producer said so many girl group rappers seem to be obligatory. When Mimi does get to really rap though she kills it just like those others I mentioned.

If you take the lyrics into account, you'd realize that the beat was made to be all mixed and confusing as the song is about how the person is still hoping that the person they had a past with still has feelings for them when they suddenly crossed path with them. its a mix of emotion with the beauty, the memories, the pain, the hope, the love; all of it rushing through a person when they cross paths with a person they once and still love. Listening to Remember Me is and will indeed be heartfelt from the lyrics to the beat of it. This song truly captures the feelings of a person who has loved deeply.

the chorus is sung by a couple of members but most of it is SeungHee shes the main vocal and a queen (sadly she doesent get any screen time so ull have to check her out for urself :D) *and the rapper is THE bias and her name is Mimi, shes the one rapper to rule them all, she has the perfect flow and she delivers every time (well its a 50/50 chance shes going to have any lines in a comeback but when she does she spits hot fire... we got very lucky with her line distribution this time and im living for it)*

Aaaahhh! I really love the song as well despite the confusion on my first encounter with it. But it was actually one of the factors why I loved it. Something unexpected popping outta nowhere really hooks me. Hoping that people acknowledge Oh My Girl more as they're really talented

I just read the MV analysis from the comment section of official MV (go check that out), the one interpret the MV as a story of a group of girl winning $7 million and starting their own crazy lives. For instances, Seunghee become an astronaut, Mimi drives all around the world, YooA start a shop in a nowhere island etc. They were together but now separated and constantly remember the good old days when they were together (that you can see they were mostly alone, that is reality). And somehow the word firework in Korean nostalgic (i dun know Korean so idk just remember what that person said), and I guess the firework is somewhat a sign of their friendship, that you can see they try so hard to approach to the firework as close as they can (I m not sure) like YooA taking ballon to the sky, Seunghee, Arin & JiHo on Moon / Mars. At the end, the old TV broadcast the old vid of them winning $7 million, it also implies that it is the good old days before they got succeeded and separated. Therefore, the MV is actually coherent with the song, just in a very sci-fi comedic cinametic sense making it looks fun but actually with a heartfelt story. LMAO this song got me so emotional that actually portrays a story of many people like relationship with old high school friends or uni friends etc. And i hope OMG will continue produce great songs to us, wish I am not too late to enter the fandom :D

I really liked this song, it's very different, and unique, I like the extended vocal lengths (where they just hold a note or sing it in melody for longer lengths) and the high notes, the vocals just really seal the deal for me, I was so impressed by the vocals, especially toward the end. The beat is also my kinda thing, I like real electronic sounds, the baseline synth in this is just really hard hitting and compelling for me, this is the kind of song I can turn up really really loud on a good sound system and let the speaker drone take me to a whole new dimension.

Well, well, it seems like Oh My Girl proved you COMPLETELY wrong, right? And made you a fan. lol! That's Oh My Girl for you. Now your understanding why the groups you yourself love/stan they love Oh My Girl themselves. I'm not bashing you, no. lol! But I'm just glad your seeing what I ALWAYS saw in Oh My Girl. Hyojung carries on Seunghee's tone and goes a bit higher and deeper. And the rapper 2:01 and at 2:59 that stole your heart is, Mimi. Which I agree with you about a rapper is not quite necessary in a song but Mimi is different as shes very devoted to her rapping as she writes her own lyrics, practices, and such and not just doing a rapping part in a song like any other in a group. Mimi is a hardcore rapper. She actually expresses her rap as she raps. But like I said its like WM Entertainment has been holding her back. Mimi has 2 rap parts as she has never done before. Me too!! I had to go back and relisten to it to work out where the chorus was. I'm in love with the song! That build up you talked about is my favourite as well, as is the heavy repetitive bass rhythm. It fits so well together. 😍😍😍😱😱 The vocals killed me. PD...by now u kno its 'Kim MiHyun' (Mimi) but here is what I think sets her apart as a rapper (besides just being a lyricist): she understands the musicality and meter of syllables...even from debut her delivery is supported by the syllables instead of fighting them or stumbling on them. And shes credited on the first album and on. Shes different.

The girl singing was Seunghee their main vocal. Extremely underrated but has a very beautiful voice. The rapper is Mimi btw. She doesnt usually get many lines in title tracks but fucks up all their side tracks. On a side note Oh My Girl officially have my two favourite comebacks of the year. Their songs are so unique and different. Dreamy, beautiful emotional but even cute and badass at times.

Oh My Girl songs and also sync choreography got me into them. I'm not into cute concepts but OMG got something unique about them and the way they dance has a flowy elegance to it. But I know beside cute concepts they can be versatile.

As a group with brilliant music, oh my girl is underrated af! People perceive them as just another cute girl group but their music is up there! The moment they came out with closer, i knew that they are a group that focuses a lot on actual musicality. Them looking like dolls is just a plus. God, every time i see Yooa, I get so confused, she's an actual doll. The rapper is Mimi, she has awesome flow

You're a living proof of some certain ppl who thought that OMG is just another cute girl group but realized how deep they can go and how many layers are there inside the group. Thank you so much for becoming a fan of this amazing talented group. The rapper is Mimmi, a hidden gem in rappers. Hope WM ent would help her shine in the future. The short red haired girl is binnie-truly a hidden gem. She wasn't a known vocal until recently coz of her stage fear, but see how well she does, she has a deep vocal range and went on king of mask singer as well. The girl who sings the highest notes are seunghee, and others, the black long haired girl is Jiho subvocal. And the girl with pony and with a sweet voice is Arin the maknae. And the blond haired girl with doll like face is yooa , a fierce dancer and mimmi too is a great dancer. Yooa's brother is an instructor in one million dance studio
