Dude. Take him back to their beginning: "Whistle". those transitions, though. And there's so much space in the production! I get why Teddy says that everyone thought it was a risky song - how confident do you have to be as a producer to release a debut track that most producers would call under-produced? It's still one of my favorite Blackpink songs. And to pair it with "Boombayah" which is just the opposite. Spread out his exposure to their heavy hitters - mix it up a little.

yeah the scale you are talking about is called phrygian scale, it gives the eastern vibes but it is also most importantly used in even metal and rock music to give edgier and darker vibes to a song or to make something like a "villain soundtrack", Blackpink have phrygian in lots of thier music and it works so well with thier image and songs

"you can make music like that, but you need the group to pull it off" ... yeah I feel that way. I don't think Teddy is doing anything new. The EDM scene has been producing music like that for a decade or 2 now. It's just most EDM producers aren't in the mainstream. Teddy is just producing for a YG girl group, which makes that perfect formula. I've been listening to tons of EDM artists that can pull off amazing production that combines so many amazing elements and drops.

TOPIC: BLACKPINK LISA Her full real name is Pranpiya Manobal pronounce as Manoban but later changed her name to Lalisa on the advise of a fortune teller that this name will bring her a great luck, but was does Lalisa mean? translation: the one who is praised. but other Blackpink members call her "Limario." Sometimes, she is also called "Lili" or "Lisa". She was born on March 27, 1997 in Buriram Province, and moved in Bangkok, Thailand at age three. She is an only child. She grow up comfortably, also fame runs in their family because her dad is famous Marco Brushweiler, a renowed master chef in Switzerland and Thailand. Lisa came from a wealthy family (well every BP member do), her mom owns a hospital and her dad owns a culinary school but doesn't mean growing up rich you'll be rich yourself. Our girl manage to take her own path, she auditioned in her home town Thailand for YG Entertainment, one of the Big 3 the biggest record Label and Entertainment Company in South Korea. She was the only person who passed and got accepted to YG in the YG Audition in Thailand 2010 beating more than 4000 people who auditioned. Lisa started her training after moving back to Seoul from Thailand. After more than 5 years of training she debuted in August 2016 as the main dancer, lead rapper, and sub vocalist of BLACKPINK. The American record labels and Korean record labels are completely different. In America, a label will scout you and pick you up as an artist. In Korea, you audition at a company in hope of being a trainee. If you pass and become a trainee, you train for years in sing/rapping and dancing and other things to debut. The company will then decide whether or not they’ll debut you in a group or as a solo artist. You debut with people you’ve been training with or you'll never debut at all. Blackpink started training together since they were 14-15 years old, trained for 4-10 years and they debuted in August 2016. Blackpink when signing contract in their company it states that they are fobidden in 6 things----- drinking, smoking, clubbing, driving, plastic surgery and dating. The reason why Lisa now has bigger fandom, is that Lisa is one the kind of idol that attracts international fans with her kinda western vibe/swag that mostly kpop idol don't have. And it's okay to love her, to have bias on her or have bias on other member, but please don't spread hate to her or to other members or idols. She is my bias, not bc of her being swag and talented, but because of her huge and genuine heart. WHY PEOPLE LOVES LISA MORE and MORE: HER PROFESSIONALISM she went to Milan for Prada's fashion show. Took a 12 hour flight back to SK, and from SK, took another 4 hour flight to Japan for their last Japan Dome concert that started just a few hours after she landed. But seeing her on stage during that concert you would never guess she just came from a 16 hour flight. Her energy was overflowing. She never ever gave less. And that is not the only time that she had back to back flights between countries to attend a show or interview or conference. HER PASSION AND DETERMINATION we may not see it all but even the dance practices of the group and her solo performances she gives 100% effort. Other members said they would train from 12pm-12am, but lisa would stay up until 3-4am to train. She keep herself grounded--with the amount of fame she is getting right now from all over the world, she remains humble. She doesn't think of herself as a big celeb. You would see her eat street foods, or stop by a small store at the sidewalk to eat ice cream, hang out with her childhood friends. She still does what normal people do. The first thing she post on her IG after attending fashion show is guess what? Her cats. It's her birthday, and what did she post on her IG story? Her cats. At the Elle mag interview, she said she feels happy rather than realizing popularity. SHE'S GRATEFUL and APPRECIATIVE if you didn't know, Lisa has the richest fans. Like really really rich. One fan spent hundred thousand of dollars for a birthday led ad on 9 Buildings in 9 cities in 9 days. She get the most expensive things during a fanmeet. But you know what, regardless of the price, Lisa would still jump for joy getting gifts from fans. There's no gift too grand or too simple for her (Unfortunately, on October 2021 YG Entertainment post a letter saying that Blackpink would never accept gifts from fans only written letters, BP want their fans to use their money for good cause and to people who needs help, like a donation or charity). HER GENUINE HEART Blackpink donated 40M KRW (33,580 USD) or 10M KRW (8,395 USD) each to the victims of fire in South Korea. In Dec 2018 they were awarded prize money of 20M KRW (16,790 USD) by Elle Styles Awards, but being angels they are they donated the amount to low-income and another 20M KRW to single-parent household in South Korea. TOPIC: BLACKPINK JISOO Her full real name is Kim Jisoo, but other Blackpink members call her "Jisoo Unnie." Sometimes, she is also called "Turtle Rabbit Kim". She was born in January 3, 1995 in Gunpo, a city in the province of Gyeonggi, South Korea. She has an older brother and an older sister, she is the youngest but in the group she is the oldest. She came from a wealthy family where her dad is a CEO of a company. Even though she came and grow up in a rich family our girl manage to take her own path and she auditioned in YG Entertainment, one of the Big 3 or the biggest Record Label and Entertainment Company in South Korea. After being trained for more than 5 years she finally debuted as the main visual, and lead rapper of BLACKPINK. The American record labels and Korean record labels are completely different. In America, a label will scout you and pick you up as an artist. In Korea, you audition at a company in hope of being a trainee. If you pass and become a trainee, you train for years in sing/rapping and dancing and other things to debut. The company will then decide whether or not they’ll debut you in a group or as a solo artist. You debut with people you’ve been training with. Blackpink started training together since they were 14-15 years old, trained for 4-10 years and they debuted in August 2016. Blackpink when signing contract in their company it states that they are fobidden in 6 things----- drinking, smoking, clubbing, driving, plastic surgery and dating. WHY PEOPLE LOVES JISOO MORE and MORE: HER CHEERFUL AND LOVABLE PERSONALITY She has a 4D personality and she is the social butterfly of the group. She laughs a lot and jisoo likes giving random nicknames to people, and she's the one who gave Jennie the name Jendukie and Lisa the Limario. According to Jennie, Lisa and Jisoo is the mood maker of the group. Jisoo loves telling dad Jokes which made her also the most crackhead one of the group she is a kind of person who is lively that could possibly light up your day. HER BEING A MOM FIGURE TO THE GIRLS She is the mom of the group and would be the person blackpink members would lean on. She is a de facto leader in the group, as the group decided to not have an official one. Many blinks know that the girls only saw her cry once. In the neflix documentary "Light Up the Sky", Teddy Park told that despite working with Blackpink over all these years, he's seen Jisoo cry just once. That explains a lot because jennie said that if ever jisoo has a very feminine personality they wouldn't be them today because they need someone to be like their light on those dark times and i hate the fact that many ot3 stans undervalued jisoo but blackpink will always be four. According to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association, on 8th April, Blackpink members Lisa, Jennie, Rosé, and Jisoo donated 10M KRW each to their organisation. When the wildfire occurred on the evening of the 4th, Blackpink said, "we sympathise with the pain of the residents of the Gangwon area," they also cancelled their comeback press conference meeting which was scheduled the next day. In Dec 2018 they were awarded prize money of 20M KRW (16,790 USD) by Elle Styles Awards, but being angels they are they donated the amount to low-income and single-parent household in South Korea. She speaks Korean, Japanase fluently but Jisoo doesn’t speak English fluently (because she’s embarrassed to do it) but she can understand it very well. She plays drum.
