Her album Preacher’s Daughter is a very stylized concept album that’s to my understanding entirely self-produced. Her real name is Hayden Anhedönia, Ethel Cain is both her stage name and the fictional character whose story is told through the album.

The Imogen Heap influence is front and center, it's such a lush anthem. Wanted an upbeat _Beach House_ with _Emma Ruth Rundle_ aesthetic for ages. It pulls back to let you enjoy the verses, then tidal waves back in with the chorus. Last _Pale Waves_ release did it on the poppier side, Ethel Cain here on the moodier, love it.
