I'm always astounded by the complexity of the machines that filter, sort, funnel, and collect all these pieces and put together a finished product. They consist of thousands of moving parts, all of which have to work or the entire thing gets jammed. Whoever engineers and puts these machines together are truly geniuses.

@lukasgayer5393 Жыл бұрын
These are standard zinc oxide bateries. They aren´t suitable for demanding applications but will be good enough for clocks and remotes and other smaller gadgets. I would also expect average shelf life when not in use.
Why make zinc carbon batteries? In today’s electronics they’d last just minutes. Seriously my wife accidentally bought some and put in LED candles. They lasted 3 hours! With alkaline they go most of the season and have enough leftover power we use them for non critical items.

@MaxineWashington Straight up lie. China is the world's largest source of lithium, which is far worse than alkaline. The CCP sets restrictions on markets it can't _control_ and gives you a bullshit reason for it. Duh.
@zodwraith574510 ай бұрын
@MaxineWashington You mean Reuters, The Guardian, Al Jazeera, and the Washington Post that lie about pretty much everything else? They parrot the CCP lies and ignore REAL Chinese people that suffer under the CCP. Of _course_ they make cheap solar panels when the materials are mined and panels assembled with slave labor wages. There's MANY things the Chinese are great at, but that's very much in _spite_ of the CCP, not because of it. Not to mention they only excel at _manufacturing_ these technologies due to cheap labor. Never the development. Literally EVERY technology is stolen from western countries. When it comes to test scores it's because the culture abuses children. Period. There's so much pressure put on even the littlest kids it's depressing that they're never allowed to be children and only taught to be good slaves from birth. That's not something to be proud of, it's something to be ashamed of.

If the bottleneck on the production lines was the machines, Im sure they would invest in newer machinery. The bottleneck in this line is probably one of the more advanced, newer processes or the QC line, so modernising the actual stamping of batteries would not make the overall process faster.
