When I started out I didn't realize how much work goes into production. This video is going to be an eye opener for many people because that is what it takes to get a great result and it's a lot of work. Not really work though if you love it. So cool that you are able to be so creative on this one.

Yes I think sometimes people think it’s a couple of hours and there is a song 😅 i mean sometimes things happen quick, and sometimes it takes a few days to pull it all together. I do enjoy these kinds of projects where I have a lot of creative freedom to build something for an artist.

With your intuitive nature, level of sensibility to the art of the artist, and experience as an all-rounder pro multi instrumentalist & pro audio engineer, you've already become the producer that can only touch more people's hearts with the wonderful fruits you and anyone that works with you will reap together! And so will we, your listeners. ☺️ Thank you for making us a part of the magical moments within your process. I've enjoyed it immensely as I'm sure everyone else here has as well, and am having the widest 24 carats smile, on my face from cheek-to-cheek right now being so happy for you and the things you're about to do in this world! Utmost gratitude Rhyse! 🔥🙏 P. S - this song is a banger indeed! And I'm sure you and Chelsea will continue on making great music together! Kudos to the great artist here as well, her instigating vigor & wonderful talent!

Super inspiring to see you actually play the guitar, and the rhythm is spot on! Really like the trick of importing her raw sketch into your DAW and have it as a reference the whole time to remind yourself of the original intention and vision/vibe of the artist.

Please a video on the stacks at 27:20 - how did you do this? Did you affect them all differently? Are they just a bunch of similar takes? How did you process them? I've been trying to get this effect and few cover this on KZbin! Great song btw - excellent production.

This was so good. I learned a lot. I loved the filter sweeps, your backing vocals, the whisper vocal. Being new to recording/mixing, I had no idea how many guitar tracks went into great mixes. I've primarily played guitar for 40 years now. Ironically, guitar is my weakness in recording. I think I've been looking for a great sound to come out of doubled guitar tracks...but failed. Lol !! Looks like I'm going to have to start building out my guitar section with more tracks. It was very cool watching you build out that DI guitar. I really appreciate you putting these videos out, Rhys. You're definitely my favorite channel for mixing/recording. Thanks.

Love this content. When you tracked those clean guitars, did you have the amp sim on every track, or only on the buss? I can't figure out whether it's better to send all my guitars to the one amp sim, or just have one on each track and render each track to audio as I go to save CPU.
@spinlightstudios8 ай бұрын
Thanks mate! Yeah amp sim on every track, just punishing my computer, but it seems to handle it pretty well! Probably had like 15 instances of plugin alliance bassdude running 😂 I bounce in place when I’m ready to commit!

Came back to this for another listen and wow man - you're an incredibly talented producer. PLEASE PLEASE tell me which VST you used for the sub bass.. It's such a great sound.

Thanks mate! I actually just bought a bunch of patches from “that worship sound” - they do some awesome synth patches that are just made from logic stocks vsts. I have a few of there synthsation packs. Definitely a step up from the stock logic synth library sounds
@musiclover-r9m6 ай бұрын
@@spinlightstudios Thanks for getting back to me! I would never have thought to look there, but I will now. That patch sounds soo much better than the ~20 sub bass patches I auditioned yesterday to provide a thickening layer under a bass.

I would love for somebody to write me some songs in the style of more pop and rock and alternative. I write some lyrics myself but I don't think my lyrics are that great so I would prefer that others write me songs to sing. I'm more of a singer over anything. I'm trying to break into the music industry and I'd like original songs to sing

Cool production, although I think it's been a bit unnecessary overdone in bass department. I don't really dig that synthy distorted bass. It's too present, very distractive. Once you pay attention to it and recognize in the mix, it's only thing you hear from that point onwards. I think for pop song, that kind of distorted approach is unnecessary.
@spinlightstudios8 ай бұрын
Thanks. It’s okay to like different things and there is no rules as to what equates a “pop” bass sound. This also is just the production building phase - the actual mix sounds pretty different. Everyone was happy in the end that’s what matters :)
