Great review. Pointing out the difference between the GP-9 and GP-18 is a well thought out touch with useful information. The picture of the prototype is another great addition to the video. The sound of this locomotive , well, sounds great . well done indeed

I just found something to help us on our models. I bought a electric portable toothbrush and removed the bristles on the 2 heads. I than took two sided tape and cut it for whatever project even to look almost like an arrowhead to get into the corners. WOW it really works nice. I going to start looking at yard and garage sales a lot closer.

You have presented a very beautiful locomotive here. Thanks for that. Greetings Tino

My only problem is there are no crew figures in the cab. You don't see trains running down the track with empty cabs

Is this controller your using in this video better or I might ask what happened to the Proto Stand Controller from Iowa Scaled Engineering. I sure liked the look of that controller and possibly was considering purchasing one, please if I could get you to clarify on this so I toss $500 bucks in the correct direction. I really like the Geep 7's 9's and 18's and High-Nose Geep 20, I used to like the slant nose of the Geep 20 but have fallen away from it for visual reasons I'm guessing lol I'm not sure why, hopefully I'll reconnect with that jewel at some point. Anyways I just noticed you weren't using the Iowa Scale Engineering controller and was just wondering why . . . Thanks . . . BRIAN

Thanks, Brian. Yes, I still have the ProtoThrottle and use it about 95% of the time. With these being new locomotives, the are not properly programmed to have the ProtoThrottle be effective. I used my Digitrax DT602 (it is a new release from Digitrax, I did a product review of it) to do the initial checks of these locomotives.

How do you find all this IC stuff? Maybe its because I am working in N but I feel like I would have better luck of getting a 4k image of bigfoot riding on the back of the Loch Ness monster.
@ck78133 жыл бұрын
It isn’t really a matter of finding IC stuff, it is just watching the manufacturer’s websites for product announcements and pre-ordering. Some recent releases (and I have see these on eBay) are some n scale GP35s (ICG orange and white) from Atlas. Intermountain had an n scale SD40-2 in ICG orange and white a few years ago. Athearn released some n scale SD70s (Death Star scheme) late last year. It still shows in their website, even though they were announced 7 years ago) that Intermountain is going to produce IC/ICG GP10s in n scale. Be diligent and keep watching the web, they are out there!

Do the number boards light up?
@ck78133 жыл бұрын
No, unfortunately on the Genesis models (with the exception of 2.0 models) do not have lighted number boards.

@@ck7813 Thanks for your help. With what they charge for it , it seems pretty cheap that don’t light
