Just got it last week and try first wash today but it shake a lot when spin. Sounds like earthquake. Anyone know what’s wrong with it and any solutions?

Hello! Many times when washers+dryers shake is because they are unbalanced. It may look like they are level, but even a small ident on the floor can cause a washer to become unbalanced and move around. Look at the foot of your machines and check to see if there is any space between the bottom of your machine and the floor.

Also turn down the spin speed, medium is usually enough.

I just bought this washer and I completely regret it. I am having the same problems. It sounds like an earthquake and it doesn't spin the water out. It is a complete waste of money. You can't even wash more that 4-5 towels.

What type of soap are you using? We recommend using liquid detergent when ever possible on most washers. Some washers are now coming out with specific pod dispensers as well.

Got these the other day, and so far I’m not liking them lol my clothes don’t smell clean coming out of the washer. I watched one of the cycles and it washed with barely any water, so I don’t think they are getting cleaned. The dryer has almost no heat. My clothes are still damp after drying them through 3 cycles. And whats weird is that they are almost dry coming out of the washer, so it doesn’t make sense that the dryer isn’t drying barely wet clothes lol Also, I have to put the dryer on timed dry cuz all the other presets say “sensing” and never stop the cycle, I had to stop it myself. Anyone else having these problems?

You're still within the 1 year warranty, so just call GE directly, or whatever store you bought it from.and they'll either fix it or swap out the whole unit. There's no need to put up with this, since it's still new and we'll within warranty.

I have the same issue plus the lint is not getting trapped in the basket it’s going into the dryer and it the lint stays trapped on top of the holes and to clean it every time before I get my cloths out or they get full of lint frustrated and they are brand new !

Yes, I am having this issue now! I am very itchy after washing and drying my clothes. My clothes smells really weird as if someone put perfume on dirty clothes. I had my set for about 1.5 years now. I am going to sell them as I have sensitive skin and it’s getting really bad. I finally realize that it’s not using enough water, even with extra rinse. I still have stains on my clothes as well. I took my clothes to my granny home to wash and boom no issues.

Completely unhappy with our new 4.8. Ultra Fresh front load. GE warranty service call (took 2 service calls) to replaced parts due to banging noise on spin. 3 days later now the washer won't spin. The motor runs so I suspect the drive belt broke or came off. Completely unacceptable for a 4 month old machine. We're contacting the retailer to request our money back.

@@tammymoore11 I did! Personally, I am loving them but I also think the LG are probably just as good, and they were on sale at Home Depot. The venting feature was the main reason I wanted these, because I hate a smelly washing machine. The venting cycle runs much longer than expected though, so I make aure and do a lot of laundry at a time so I don't waste tons of energy. If I didn't buy these I'd have bought the LG's with the auto dispense because it's amazing. It's going to be ao easy to teach my daughter to wash laundry now! I LOVE the dryer lint trap, so easy to empty and clean! I have no regrets so far, it's so much faster to do laundry now and the wifi alerts are great because our washer and dryer are in the basement.

This is by far the worst washing machine. Does not wash nor rinse clothes properly. the amount of water the machine uses is way reduced. We have had the machine for 4 months and slowly started noticing my daughters white clothes not getting cleaned. Especially the underarm area which turned gray and yellow on all her whites as well as odor. The washer also does not rinse all of the soap out no matter the cycle as well as using the extra rinse option and the machine itself is very loud. Save your money and look else where .. horrible piece of engineering. Also is not easy on the water bill because we have to keep running the extra rinse cycle. the other issue is if you a smaller laundry room run both the washer and the dryer at the same time the heat from the dryer and moisture from the washer will cause your walls to sweat or collect moisture while they are both running. so resolve this we have to leave the window open i have to say the noise generated by the so called venting sounds like a semi truck and for us is a problem .. machine does not rinse or wash your clothes properly .. we kept it for 4 months and got rid of it.

The worst experience we've had with a washer and a washer manufacturer. The washer stopped going forward with the cycle after 10 days. GE uses 3rd party service in Texas so they scheduled a technician to look at the unit. The technician didn't show up. They scheduled a 2nd time, the techician didn't show up. Finally after 11 days a technician shows up and says the main board is bad. The board is on back order. So here we are with a unit that worked for less than 2 weeks waiting on a back order part. Does GE care, no. Does Home Depot care, no. I would never invest my money again with either of these companies.

I had the same problem with LG. Took 7 weeks of suffering to finally get a refund. Brand new Washing machine only lasted me 4 months.

Don’t call Home Depot if you purchased your GE washer and dryer because they will not come out and fix it. I spent over $2000 for this washer and dryer and $800 for a warranty and no one will help me with this problem.

I bought this washer and dryer, unfortunately!!! I hate it! I hate it! I hate! The blue technology is a scam! I am a very clean person and keep my washer and dryer clean. It doesn't work to remove odors, the pull out drawer is VERY difficult to clean and is cheaply made. We had troubles with it shortly after purchasing. It's expensive to repair and don't get me started on the dryer. So many issues. I loved my previous set from Maytag and wish so much I just would have refurbished it. I would NOT buy this.
