Great video! Very informative. I try to look at ingredients before I purchase products but I love the way you broke things down. Please keep these types of videos coming.

You did an amazing job breaking down the formulas. I wish the leave in didn’t contain isopropyl alcohol. It’s drying in my hair

Thanks so much. Apparently, when Behentrimonium Chloride is in the formula, the isopropyl alcohol must be added to make it easier for the Behentrimonium Chloride to be squeezed out of the bottle. There is not a lot of the isopropyl alcohol added; probably .75% or less.

Thanks so much. Yes, with all the products out there it can be overwhelming. Seriously, these products have more in common than not.

Beautiful job breaking down the products Zee! I have watched several review videos of Tabatha's products. Yours is the first to give the real truth about these products. I thought about only purchasing 3 products from this line (leave-in, hair cream, & hair oil). Watching your video confirmed that, thank you! 🥰

To be honest, I would not purchase the oil. Oil is oil pretty much, except the difference in viscosity. Avoid using a heavy oil on your scale, because will plug up the pores. I am still on the fence about buying it. I just watched WhilOnAWhim's video about Donna's Recipe and he actually tries it. He liked it, but said it had an overpowering fragrance. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gYGtnJt6gNeoabs Thank you for watching my video

Thank you for breaking this down! Shampoos and rinse-out conditioners are a dime a dozen in my opinion, so I only bought the leave-in, cream styler and butter-esque oil from this line after being skeptical of yet another (lovable) celebrity product release. I tried all three yesterday…The cream styler provides the best elongation, slip and moisture I’ve ever had in a styler, and the solidified oil was an interesting change of pace from my usual almond and jojoba oils. The leave-in is going right back to Ulta! Something about it make my hair feel oddly squeaky (probably the isopropyl alcohol) 🥴 I’m not looking forward to smelling like a fall scented candle all year long, but the cream styler is too good.

Thank you for watching! I agree with you the brand's shampoo and rinse-out conditioner use standard formulas used by other brands, but placed their name, Donna's Recipe on the bottle. Not uncommon. The leave-in conditioner has isopropyl alcohol listed on the back label as the 6th ingredients, meaning the percentage is extremely minimal in the formula, so it's used to combat the amount of fatty alcohols and oils that are within the ingredients two thru five. For 4c hair we need moisture! I don't care for the leave in conditioner myself. It's not as moisturizing as I'd like a leave-in conditioner to be, plus the sweet potato smell is pretty over powering, even though it fades over time. Overall, the leave-in conditioner consists of a standard formula too.

Since so many of these products are the same but very costly( and small size at that!) what shampoo/brand would you recommend using?

Honestly, it depends on your hair texture and hair goals. For me, my goals is wearing my hair natural, with minimum manipulation and wearing my hair in either in braid extensions, or out in two-strand twist-ins or twist outs without ever wearing WIGS. I am looking to care for my hair in its natural state. My hair care products I choose are cost effective intended to clean, condition and maintain conditioning of my hair. The majority of these haircare products use the same ingredients, but may be in different measurements. My core products are from the brand Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil line and Cantu Shea Butter line. Hope this helps.

Hi 👋 What about the brand ethnic gal Conditioner Leave-in conditioner Shampoo Can you do a break down of then ❤

Never heard of it, so thank you for offering me the opportunity. I will definitely check it out. I've found their website ethnicgals.com/ and briefly checked out the ingredients for their "leave in conditioner". The second "ingredient" on the ingredients label is listed as "Conditioning emulsifier". First question that came to mind was "What is a 'conditioning emulsifier'? And my answer to myself is "It's not an ingredient". There is no shade, but a honest a inquisitive question.

I just looked it up on Amazon, LUV Naturals Long-Lasting Moisture. Leave-in conditioner. It's $48 for 8 fl oz! That is really expensive. I'd love to break down the ingredients in this product. Crazy! Stay tuned for my breakdown of the ingredients in this product.

Thanks much. I should have included in the video, but it probably would make my video even longer. LOL! A lot of ingredients in black hair care products are derived from coconut oil. Yes, it does have a funny smell.

I will check it out! I've already done a video on the shampoos. Link here kzbin.info/www/bejne/q6OWqn2Mbb2BhMU In taking a quick look at it NATURE'S LITTLE SECRET Irish Moss Styling Cream, it does not look good. The ingredients listed aren't good for really conditioning the hair. 😐 Video coming soon! 👈🏾
