People say school is useless, but apparently with those physics classes you can save yourself 150 bucks every now and then.

With carbon fibre you dont loose energy from the heel slipping would be right way to market them. And they work, shoe just fits better if its right fit. Back to school boys.

Not even physics, just basic biology, no one’s foot bends like that to make it work
@crazzynuts888010 ай бұрын
When it comes to insoles or special shoe enhancements, it's essential to think about the basics. For instance, you have to consider how much force these enhancements can generate compared to the weight they need to lift, and this can be a real challenge for humans because we're quite heavy compared to what these insoles can do. It's like trying to lift a heavy weight with a small spring. People that thinks it actually helps is just placebo effect and copium for the money they spend on these. Thank you for your very honest review hope more people see your honest review.

What an excellent video. A real athlete explains in detail the reasons why he doesn't think the insoles are not all they are cracked up to be. He didn't need to make it -- but he put in the effort. I pray that life treats you well. Professional athletics is hard on the body especially as you age so please do take care.

I play volleyball often, in club. I was pretty fat lmao. But these insoles helped a little bit. But when I got skinner and started working out that’s when I saw a little difference. But still I don’t think they are worth 150 dollars

I would be willing to bet a large amount of money that you losing weight and beginning to work out had everything to do with your performance rather than these insoles.

What about shock absorption? Does it make a difference? I was looking at the VKTRY for my daughter because she tore her acl. I don't care about her jumping. I care about her landing. I know training addresses those things do no need to go there...... but shoes have insoles for a reason. Do these help?

Ive been using them to stiffen up my shoe to try and help with my turf toe problem. Not sure if this is really helping as my toe isnt getting any better
@MuchNoobАй бұрын
Not sure if you’ve gotten any better results yet but you can get an actual carbon fiber insole plate for your shoe that doesn’t bend at all which helps stiffen up your shoe and not bend your toes at all. Not very comfortable but good if you have a broken toe or something and are trying to get back to running

I’m around 6’3 210 pounds and I play basketball, this insole gave me like that little inch I needed in my vert to consistently dunk but didn’t grant me nothing crazy like a 40 inch vertical. If your ALREADY athletic it helps a little ..like a tad , if your bearly grabbing rim thinking these going to make you dunk then No Sir .

most new sneaker running insoles look like they are made for 50 cents, including the insole in the 140 dollar running shoe, for most runners, if vktry insole was placed the right hand, and a factory standard insole was placed in the left, most runners I imagine would choose the vktry, I purchased the vktry in nov 2023 and ran the hawaii marathon and noticed a distinct difference in the later miles, 20-26, more spring in the foot strike, I have run 53 marathons, my last 4 marathons with the vktry insole, 4 with one pair of sneakers ( shell) and one vktry insole, 9 months in, I am ready to but a 2nd pair of vktry....

Me and 3 friends bought them just to see if it was bs or what. Each of us increased our 40 time & our vertical. We timed ourselves 1 day without them and the following day with them. The fact that all 4 of us increased our times and jumps that tells you they work. These are lazer times too not hand times so they were very accurate. I consiatantly ran between a 4.83 & 4.85, with these i ran a 4.8 flat and a 4.81.
@Blainemcconnell5 ай бұрын
By saying you increased your 40 time, means you got slower. I think you mean decreased your 40 time. Also, 40 times can vary by up to a tenth from day to day based on athlete readiness and fatigue. Your .05 improvement is arbitrary and anecdotal at best. My argument is actual force plate data showed no improvement when using the insole.

There’s no doubt that having the spring plate built into the shoe will be better, like the two examples you showed at the end. And while I can accept that you don’t like the feeling, or that they don’t fit well in your shoes, the physics DOES make sense. For the same reason you can jump higher off concrete than sand, and even higher off a spring floor. If your testing showed no difference it may have been user error. Just because you _can_ jump higher on a spring floor doesn’t mean you will. You have to properly load the springs. Also, they don’t have to curl all the way around like the launch test you showed at the beginning, but it does demonstrate just how much spring potential there is. In fact, I’d wager that it needs to be even stiffer to have an appreciable benefit for someone your size which probably further supports why you prefer the even stiffer shoes you showed at the end.

@@Blainemcconnell Yeah bending the insole could possibly produce maybe a single newton of force. But the problem is that the insole never bends 180 degrees when you jump, because your foot would fucking break and 1 newton of force is not enough to make a significant contribution in propelling a 70kg mass 30 inches in the air
