Compound feed does not mean that the machine compounds the material! It means that the feed mechanism is compound, with the needle, inside foot and feed dog moving in sync as the outside foot lifts. Compound feed is also known as triple feed.

You said it uses 135-17 needle system, but that is what the 1508NS uses, the `1508NH uses a longer needle system, I beleive.

Got mine used but perfect for 1700....best machine in the world!!!!!so effin thankful. I’m an engineer and appreciate the craftsmanship. If you must move. I bought a new 1508 and it literally does nothing but jam. I've had it in the shop 4 times. It jams within seconds of starting to sow. I just got it back and as expected it jammed again within 30 stitches. The vendor (not Goldstar Tool) told me they don't accept industrial machines returns. I guess I have to take the loss-yes, I'm tossing it!!! Should have bought the Pfaff 1245. Nor more Jukis!!!

Where are you located? The 1508 is a great machine, but it sounds like your dealer didn’t set something up correctly, or it might need to have the clutch reset.

I honestly couldn't sell it to anyone-. I had it repaired again-another hook replacement and it jammed again with the same problem. It's sitting at the bottom of the local landfill now. Never another Juki!

I am sorry, but You don't have enough information about this Juki LU-1508 NH sewing machine. I suggest you to educate yourself first about this sewing machine then make a video. Btw, S, Stands for Safety clutch, not stands for standard. also there is a small oil pan under the sewing machine for the hook assembly. I have this LU-1508 sewing machine. All 1508 have safety clutch. Regarding bobbin, this sewing machine uses U bobbin ( not M size bobbin) which U is larger than M bobbin. Juki LU-1541 have M bobbin. Juki LU-1541S have safety clutch but the LU -1541 don't have safety clutch. If you have any questions about walking foot sewing machines you can ask me i be happy to answer all your questions.

The S can take different size thread and has a smaller stitch length and needles as well. The H heavier a better machine. I believe both machine have a safety clutch.
