I bought my Rustic Entourage about a year ago. I have since added the LR Baggs Anthem preamp. It is my favorite guitar that I've ever owned or played. It looks stunning and sounds like a very high-quality instrument similar to a Martin, Gibson, or Taylor. Not quite the same, but very competitive in pleasure to listen to once you're in front of one. I've also added a Mitchell's plate and use Cleartone light strings.

Just bought one yesterday, and holy fuck it's incredible. I was gonna go for the Epiphone Hummingbird Pro, but it felt really cheap and sounded thin. Picked this up, and it just blew me away. Great for heavy strumming type music.
@TheLifeTerm8 жыл бұрын
I bought one from a dealer on Ebay. I love it. I have 17 Acoustics and acoustic/electrics, all Takamine pro, with the exception of a Washburn, this Seagull sounds every bit as good as the Takamine EF341SC ( Solid Cedar top ) @$1299.00 vs $450 for the Seagull. Only difference is the lack of a preamp / pick-up. Definitely handles the heavy strumming and sounds amazing playing fingerstyle, too. I love this guitar!!

(i put this comment on another video as well, but this video just stated what i have said so i would like to put it again here lol) i just bought a seagull entourage rustic cw qi last friday and damn love it. I was trying to get me a travel size acoustic guitar (i play electric and never bought an acoustic myself lol) with low budget and thus tried many guitars in the musical store including taylor, martin, yamaha, fender, ibanez, norman guitar, simon patrick, and larrivee, etc... for 5+ hrs (i think the staffs hated me so much lol), and finally left with this seagull (well, at least i bought a big guy..)... what can i say...? made in canada where the brand comes from (you know the difference between MIA Fender and MIM ones or prestige Ibanez and the premium right?), cutaway for high position lead playing, solid top, godin especially designed preamp (i suddenly fall in love after randomly plug into a roland acoustic amp lol, Fishman on taylor and martin sounds thin, no depth, hard, and plastic to me lol), and the most scientific headstock design among all the brand (and it looks sexy!) !! the only thing i don't like is that i have to pay another hundred buck to buy a seagull foam "hardshell" case, while you can get a OEM case from Fender if you buy a CD60CE, or gigbag if choose baby taylor or mini martin... yeah i was thinking to buy a guitar for travel a lot, so it would be muc better if it come with a case, i didn't think i would go with this regular size seagull at all...... but finally my logic was beaten by the touching sound... i was in conflict of choices among taylor GS mini (this guitar is actually excellent, making deep warm sound with a size i really appreciate, the most important thing is that it comes with a high high high quality gigbag!! but no cutaway and a bit too expensive to me..), baby taylor (lower quality gigbag, no cutaway, sounds not that fit to me, looks cheap and it is cheaper but i hate that bolt-on neck so much as well, looks it will be bending and broken anytime), mini martin (same price as baby taylor, sexy neck, but sounds not right to me, actually all the "cheap" martin guitar sounds not my taste at all..), yamaha APX series (sounds too hard and plastic, but right size, with cutaway, cheaper, but no case would fit its body perfectly...), fender CD60CE (quality looks and actually feels bad, but cheap, with a hardshell case, well, can be a choice lol), and this seagull ce qi. ..................... i don't know what to say, but i was just looking at the neck joint and compare this part to the others, the neck joint just show how seagull (and other godin line guitars) can make the same quality guitars as taylor and martin with the same or even cheaper price as yamaha, fender, ibanez... when i was testing, there was a gentleman who may be a beginner of learning guitar and his parents coming to me and listened to my playing of several guitar including the one i bought, after i hanged my seagull back, he picked it up and went to another test room and several minutes later, he came out and purchased a new-in-box one, same model... then i went to the sales and they told me the demo one i played was the last in store, the gentleman just bought the second last one new-in-box, i regretted a bit that i didn't make decision earlier so i can go with a brand new one but later i just said "i don't fxxking care, just want it!" so the store sold this model out within 2 hrs in one day lol. ///// kk, i know i am talking shit too much, in a word, the seagull is the balance among every point: building quality, price, sound (well, sound is pretty biased tho)... except for not coming with a case...

I didn't know much about the Seagull line of guitars at the time, but I'm glad I grabbed this one. I highly doubt I'll ever part with it, it's got such a unique sound compared to my other acoustic guitars. Just put a set of Ernie Ball Paradigm strings on it and it sounds and plays like a guitar that would easily cost ten times what I paid for it used.

Mr. Sanchez: I paid $329.00 for my used S6. Whomever owned it gave it lot's of TLC. Absolutely mint condition. Action at the 12th fret? 90 thousandths. Bridge still firmly secured to the top. Got my eye on a used Entourage that has been treated like a red headed step child. Big crack in front upper bout. Dealer asking $185.00 for it. I bought mine in 2011 and I've really played the hell out of it. Lots of finger style stuff with different tunings. I find the action is a bit high but I've never had it set up since then so it could probably use some adjustments. Either way it's only sound better over the years!

It won't necessarily sound better with age. If the frets are worn it won't. Sonically the top will be able to breathe better with time, but that doesn't mean that the guitar will sound better if there are things like fret-wear.

I love the Seagull headstock. None more beautiful on a guitar in my opinion. Also like the 1.72" nut and shorter scale-length (24.84") on this guitar too.
