Hi--I have a question pertaining to Accu-Slice in general. I learned about bandsaw blade drift many years ago and how to compensate for it setting the resaw fence at the angle of the drift to correct for it. You mentioned in one of your earlier videos that inaccurate cuts in conventional bandsaw resawing can be caused by the back of the blade contacting the cut. I'm wondering how blade drift is not an issue when using the Accu--Slice system if the blade being used has a tendency to drift. Thanks in advance for your help. I find your system very interesting and exciting.

We have addressed this in a number of videos. Band saw blade drift is caused either by the lateral movement of the wood being cut or the back edge of the band saw blade touching the wood being cut. Since the wood being sliced with the Accu-Slice system is attached to a fence that rides perfectly parallel to the band saw blade, the wood does not move laterally and the back edge of the blade does not come in contact with the back edge of the band saw blade. My dad is working on a pattern similar to these but would like to bend them into a circle in order to add into a guitar sound hole inlay. He’s running into issues with bending the pieces and having them break. Do you know of a good solution to this?

Did he try to steam the pieces gradually? If the pieces are thin enough a clothes iron set to steam could do the job.

It,s allways this talk of inches here and there. Why could not those inch people talk about the millimeters instead. This would make it much more easy to understand the mesaurments, says an European.
