@mspinkytee thank you for watching. As I stated before if you are a 4c chick who can wear a wash n go, I stand by my claim that you don't have 4c hair. If it works for you....Rock on sis, it does nothing for your hair but wear it with pride. I have no desire to have curly ringlets. As for coconut oil being a protein... its NOT. But when it binds to the hair it acts as one. And that is why some people's hair feels like straw when they use certain oils. I'm not mad at you, for wanting to be right. I get it, simply start a KZbin channel and bless us with all your knowledge and glory. I will certainly subscribe. 😝😄 😄😄😜but you will not come on my channel and try to discredit me, as you hide behind your computer screen. Please stay blessed, and try not to have that crab in a barrow mentality... its so 2012. Get with the times boo, we are uplifting others in 2014 and beyond.

+Dane Mokgethi - It doesn't always follow that being a "pure Black African" will guarantee you 4c hair. Many pure Sub-Saharan Africans from West Africa (in Nigeria and Ghana especially) have 3a-4b hair. African hair is versatile.

OMG I LOVE YOU. After 26 struggling with my hair and giving up I finally have someone actually saying what I've experienced with my hair. I was always told that I was careless with my hair and that I didn't know how to gel down my buckshots...it doesn't work, my hair eats that up, the gel ends up dripping down my forehead and sides. Thank you, I'm buying these items tonight at target.

I have 4C hair but aloe vera and coconut make my hair stiff and dry. Don't even let me start on that horrible Kinky Curly, so awful on my hair. So just because you have a certain hair type doesn't mean we can all use the same things. Porosity is a better gage of what products to use.

Thanks for acknowledging us guys who watch your videos, lol! I like your very honest approach and no unnecessary gimmick. As a guy with 4c, protein sensitive hair who loves to experiment with different styles, I've learned, through trial and error what products work best for me and not just follow blindly what I see someone doing on KZbin. If I'm watching a video and the person doesn't even have 4c hair, I'm like bye gurl, lol. I wash my hair with sulfate shampoo and it's thriving! I am also one of the 4C ladies whose hair does not do well with coconut oil. My hair is extremely dry, and each night when twisting I must apply some oil and moisture. I also sleep with a silk scarf. Lately I have been using either a mango butter or Hawaiian Silky. About 3-4 times per week I also have to lightly oil my scalp. However, when I wake up in the morning, my hair has already soaked up the oil--very porous. By late noon it already looks dry. When I follow a hair care regimen the hair remains softer to the touch, and when I feel lazy, it is a mess! This 4C hair requires serious effort. It would be nice to be able to 'wash n go' (LOL)

@queenbeethatme100 This is interesting. I have very high porosity natural hair; moisture lets in n leaves quickly-- the thing is: u said that the damages cuticle is what's really going on and that the damage is caused by heat.. I do not use heat on my hair 😕. The only heat I use is sitting under a dryer with a deep condition every so often. I do not flat iron or press or anything like that. So is my hair just naturally damaged?? I'm a lil confused

Love this video. Thanks for addressing "baby hairs" , wash-n-go's for 4c hair. When I wear an afro puff I don't even bother trying to create "baby hair" because it just don't work for me. i disagree with the 4c wash and go statement.... anybody can do a wash and go, people are under the assumption that if your "wash and go" doesnt have curls then it shouldnt be done... i think ever texture of hair has a beautiful wash and go... if your reason for saying this is because your hair tangles then i understand but not all 4c tangles really badly

ThisIs Me Although Wash-n-Gos are not for everyone no matter the Hair Texture; a lot of people aren't doing it correctly. 4c Hair can and certainly do Wash-n-Gos. 4C Hair cannot be generalized and comes in a variety of textures something a lot of naturals aren't too educated on. *_The Natural Stylist who came up with the whole Hair Typing System said this himself. Some 4C can do wash-n-go while others can't_*. The drier the texture the more sopping wet the hair has to be before setting it under a hood dryer after applying a heavy Leave-in mixed with a sealant (optional: little gel/mousse for hold). I've seen many videos on youtube with Professional Stylist and Natural Hair companies showcasing Wash-n-Go on dessert dry kinky 4C hair. There's also just too big of an expectation when it comes to the end results. A wash-n-go is exactly that; a wash and go. Everyone is not going to have a head full of ringlets and Curls. It's about embracing your texture.

FYI, I have 4c hair and baby hair around my edges boo so that is not true! you should know that people can have multiple hair textures on one head. So baby hair does exist on 4c hair, and I don't mean gelled down edges. It may be rare but it does exist. So please don't say that. thanks Retired hair dresser

Me too, when me hair is well moisturized and I tie it down with a satin scarf before bed, my edges are laid when I wake up. If I use edge. Ontrol and tie it down for a couple hours, same effect.... And I have very kinky 4c hair. I've been natural most of my life though, was.only permed maybe 6 out of my 26 yrs, but as far back as I could remember I used to do this in high school. It really just depends on how thick the hair at the very edge of your hairline is,, and not necessarily whether or not you're 4c.

Thank God for this video. I know 1000% I am a 4c girl. Anytime I twist out i must blow dry. No way I could wash and go. Edge control slicks my edges for 2 seconds. Lol. I'm not mad I am so glad someone gets it.

Thank you for this video. My hair dries up fast when I moisturize it, my edges don't lay flat when I use gel, wash and go`s don't work at all, my hair is like a ball of cotton. Im still learning how to take care of my hair. Im really glad to see a 4c hair video, there's not much videos on KZbin that talks about 4c hair.

OMG...Thank you soooo so so much for posting this video about 4c hair. I have it and when I take out my yarn twists its just a lot of work to do with it. I use the same washing products as you and smiled when I saw the Shea Butter products. :D...Im still learning about the oils but I think my hair is doing pretty good with the products I own now..I just need more shine and moisture to it. The Yellow Bird blow dryer is new for me so I will check it out. I've been wanting to straighten my hair for sometime...but I was just too scared to because I was afraid it would break off. But I think I'll be brave since you showed me more oil products...Thank you!!! Again!!

Hi I am so happy I found your channel! I have 4c hair too, today I washed it and I did not like how it felt during my twist because I used too many products. I just took out my braids! I came across your channel and noticed that we use the exact same products:) your hair is the same density too! Anyway I am grateful to you for sharing some great tips! I learned a great deal watching your videos and will wash my hair again tomorrow as you showed me knowing I am going to get great results. Thanks so much!

Of all the videos I've watched regarding 4c hair, this was the most informative. I love this video and I just subscribed. I am new to all this and transitioning.(no big chop) I like how you said you stretch your hair to achieve the style you want.I do this now and so many people will condemn a person for putting heat on their hair. My hair is very coarse, thick and I cannot manage well without blow drying. I was getting discouraged but after watching this, I'll hang in there. :)

great video. As a stylist, what would recommend for 4c hair breakage? I have been dealing with constant hair breakage for almost a year, which has impacted my length retention. I have tried protein, moisturizing conditioners, deep conditioners, etc... and nothing seems to stop the breakage.

Thank you acknowledging what I have been saying for years about 4c KZbin gurus. I am 4c - but really 4z - and I do not have a single baby hair. I have been natural for 5 years now. My length and texture is similar to yours. No baby hair but lots of buckshots. I embrace and love each and every buckshot in the front and the back. I work in corporate america so I apply a brush and keep it moving. I notice a lot of 4c women no longer have edges because they insist on laying their edges with Ampro or other harsh edge gels trying to achieve a smooth baby hair look that is not naturally their hair. I 100% agree that wash and go is not for 4c hair. If I don't braid or twist my hair at night when I wake up in the morning my hair is completely tangled. 4c are not able to wash and go and sleep laying down. I am a new subscriber as I like advice from others who tell the truth. THANK YOU!!!

Thank You! I laughed out loud! This was very informative. I am so glad to have found your channel. I am a mother to a little girl with amazing, thick, fabulous 4c hair. I have had to teach myself how to take care of it because I wear my hair relaxed and have no idea, which I realize is sad. But I'm here to learn! Too often I can't find advice from women with true 4c hair. I was left thinking ok I know they are out there! Everyone doesn't have curly ringlets! So thank you! I look forward to learning more from you. As far as your product recommendations I also like Shea Moisture and Kinky Curly Knot Today. My favorite shampoo for her these days is Carol's Daughter cleansing conditioning hair milk. Love it. And I just tried Carol's Daughter Mimosa Hair Honey for the first time. So far so good. Again, thanks! And PS your hair is GORGEOUS!!

I just stumbled upon your video about 10 minutes ago, and "I like". I'm subscribing and gonna watch every single video before the week is over because I too have 4C hair and very often get frustrated when products don't work for me. I gave up on "wash n go's" a long time ago. I think twist outs are just too time consuming because I have a huge head and very thick hair. so I've opted to stick to protective styles for a while. Thank you for such great information and your honesty. Hope I bump into you in the NYC area one of these days so I can personally thank you. God Bless you and stay Blessed. #Peace&Love

It's good that you're sharing your tips on what works for your hair texture. This should help others whose hair are most likely respond to those products like your hair does. Too bad one size doesn't fit all with any hair type; it would eliminate the frustration some experience.
@naturalkinkycurlymarie74969 жыл бұрын
Yes, and coconut oil does nothing but absorb into the hair for most 4C hair; doesn't lock in moisture--it's not a sealant. You still have to use a heavier oil or butter (Castor oil, Shea butter) that coats the hair to lock-in moisturizer.

One way to combat the contamination is to leave one in your bathroom (or wherever you store your hair products) and leave the EVOO that you cook with in your kitchen. That's what I do. Or you can always pour some out in an empty bottle and leave with your hair products. Nice video and I'm glad you don't go on and on and on. And, if I may add, you have a beautiful smile.

🙈🙈Omg you are a life savior!!!! I love all your videos❤️❤️❤️ it's simple , straight to the point and not overwhelm with lots of products; especially I love the this steps in showing the products you are using, the washing steps and the blowdrying/twisting steps. I am a 4 C African girl with very kinky natural hair and sometimes I get overwhelm of not knowing what to with my hair. Sometimes I want to shave off all my hair and just go bald lol but after seeing your videos, I felt in love on how your hair looks and the steps you use to treat your hair😀😀😀Thank you so much for sharing your videos. I myself love the Shea moisture a products lines especially the retention shampoo line however I did not know that the deep mask treatment could also be use for styling/twisting because just as me I didn't like using it for deep treatment either. Great tips you are giving. Thank you so much. I will no longer be products junkie because of you. 😊
