As a black woman who has risen up in the ranks in the U.S. military I will say this: Though our career and economic positions have improved, we’re still seen as inferior to the white race. I faced so much disrespect and opposition from my male counterparts and things would be said to me that would never have been said to a white man in my position. I attribute our success to our own personal efforts and hard work, and through the fight for our civil rights, we’ve pinned the dominant society against the wall and we gave them no choice but to let us rise. But the way they feel about us remains the same as it’s always been.

And you should realize that these attitudes that you face come from their feeling of inferiority, think about carefully if someone knows themselves to be superior they don't need to put or keep anyone down.

That's bc so many of us continuously behave as if these people are giving us something or doing us a favor by allowing smh.... This is the problem. They are not going to change their practices, legislature, behavior, .. if we are asking like the non human children they see us as. We have to take our existence back. They don't have the right to say or take or forbid or give us anything! They are not the I am... They will continue and they know we will continue to assimilate as oppose to deconstructing everything them from our minds. They have completely made us what they seem and that is our miseducation.

I'm a immigrant and we are so short of workers at my job. We are offering a 5,000 dollar sign on bonus and we STILL are 100 men and women short! My job starts at 24 dollars an hour topping off at 35 dollars an hour in five years with great retirement benefits and health insurance, yet we STILL can't find enough workers. You DON'T need experience to be hired at my job! Let's face it, Americans whether white or black simply don't want to work full-time and over-time at these blue collar jobs! There is no excuses in America. You guys are citizens of the greatest country in the world while everyone else is starving to death in other countries. I'm so sick of this victim mentality and immigrant blaming bull crap!

Professor Small, you are absolutely correct! Our youth needs to hear this discussion. Black men should not hesitate to enroll in every branch of the military. The men and women must start learning highly specialized skills that gives us a position and representation in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). We also need more Black American physicians, attorneys, accountants, dentists, bankers, highly intellectual and skilled educators, and the right entrepreneurs who really care about the growth and advancement of the Black community as a whole. We do not need anymore futile or degenerate entertainers, especially not the rappers and hip hoppers. If we truly want change, we also need to boycott and remove the liquor stores that are in Black communities, even the ones that are Black owned. Get them out immediately because drugs and alcohol are destroying so many, especially our youth! Get all the hooligans who are committed to degenerate behaviors and causing more destruction in the Black community out. If we are unwilling to do what needs to be done to make substantial progress in our own community, then we can't continue complaining and pointing fingers. If we do not clean up our own community, it will never happen. A community is only as strong as the people who make up that community.

@@MD-DLive Unfortunately, not all Black American men and women are seeking unity and healing amongst each other. But those who are ready and willing must not allow the lack of interest from a few, deter or discourage them. Yes, the war between Black American men and women is absolutely revolting as well as extremely embarrassing. I am a globetrotter and let me tell you, it's mortifying being in a foreign country and someone asks why is there so much hatred and animosity between Black men and women in America. You wouldn't believe how many times foreigners abroad have asked me what's going on with. No other group of people have such vitriol for each other the way many Black men and women do for each other. For example, Passport Bros make it very clear that they have zero interest in uniting with Black American women. There are Black men who created KZbin channels to discourage Black men from even speaking to or looking at Black America women in public spaces. Black American women are dating and marrying out as well and encouraging Black women to go non-Black. This hard-heartedness between the two has caused immeasurable damage for far too long. However, those who sincerely desire to see a change and improvement, must wholeheartedly do what needs to be done. They must move forward with those who are interested and committed to the task of restoring their family and community.

@@L7pushmanCertainly not by joining them. Unfortunately many of the Black politicians we elect into office abandon their campaign promises as well as the needs and wants of their constituents. Most if not all the politicians here in NYC are guilty of exactly this behavior.

I am going through some pressure right now from a racist medical establishment they basically refuse to treat my pain while they have me waiting for surgery. I try to inform the Caucasian doctors about my pain but they ignore me. That Iron God is definitely with me. These pain will definitely come to them or their family .
