He clearly has a lot to offer. Not only does our finance sector need to adopt new and innovative methods, but it also need a complete transformation. The effectiveness of European policies makes it a lot easier here in Europe, whether for their economies to secure new lines of credit to meet their financial obligations, or be it when banks deal with individual clients. They are so much ahead of us. Our Professor lives and operates in Europe, he certainly understands how things are done here and I believe he has the expertise required in this field. Hopefully he can tailor those methods to suit our economy. All the best.

Its a wonderful presentation but Honourable Ncube there is an issue of Complementary and Competing Objectives to achieve this.All the Ministries such as Housing,Home affairs ,Higher and tertiary education are essential to achieve this goal.I believe what is most important for Zimbabwe is a national Vision that everyone buys in not only one man Vision

Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people (Prov 14:34). The first thought that occurs in our minds when we think of growth is the economic development to meet material needs, which is measured through growth in Gross National Product (GNP), sustainable growth must however, take into consideration the social, ethical and moral dimensions as well. The business structure is basically amoral and materialistic. Corporations feel no social responsibility to the communities through whom they earn their profits. I want to add a missing element to our developmental endeavours; the voice of conscience is needed within the structure of the government. An investment in that direction will be worth all the effort and will bring development, one that is sustainable.

you say the truth as a person with a little bit economic knowledge my question is this how will Zimbabwe grow at six percent next 10 years when it has an unemployment rate that is in the ceiling and has inadequate infrastructure required for productive output(2) where will Zimbabwe get the money to finance the infrastructural projects it needs to catch up in southern Africa(3) lastly what guarantee do you have that political stability will prevail to have a success of your plan
@kaypakaipa8559
@kaypakaipa8559 6 жыл бұрын
6% growth is easy, making it consisted is what is hard. Coming of the ground those numbers are easily achieved by simply achieving efficiency and re-structuring gvt, and clear nonetary policies. Truly opening up the environment for people to trade, innovate, fail, succeed and invest. Real investors know and understand that opportunity is in undeveloped countries with low competition. The environment must be open and welcoming for all who want play to come and play fairly. This can allow Zim to achieve 6%, we achieved higher during 2010-2012.

Also corruption isnt the problem. Failure to invest even $1 into anything is the problem. Our leaders don't understand the art of growing the pie, instead they eat the whole pie. Its more an issue of greediness and lack of knowledge. No ideas at all.

Sorry to pop that bursting bubble of all Zimbos thinking this man is a genius but all he’s just saying is common sense which is essentially economics. A lot of local based economists used to say all these things but because our government never chose to listen and they were never given a platform it just fell on deaf ears. Unfortunately Zimbos are so gullible and they tend to forget how they’ve been oppressed over the past years which is why u need to be wary of how ZANU is just deceiving you of their true nature. Embrace what’s good but never forget your oppressors

Watch what they do not just what they say. There are a lot of gifted people in Zim, why is the country even in this position to begin with? What will be different this time? Talk is cheap, let’s SEE the process & results. That’s where the rubber meets the road. In terms of content & knowledge I give him 8-9 out of 10, if he delivers half of what he’s talking about, the dogs on the streets would know the country is back.
