I'm a proud descendant of his school. The philosophy of Kodenkan is as important as our technique. Kyōju, dōmo arigatōgozaimashita.

I began learning Danzan Ryu in March 2022 and I love it. I wish I would have met and trained with Professor Henry Okzaki . Anyone part of the AJJF as well?

This is cool! I've recently began to study Danzan Ryu Jujitsu, and it's really neat to see footage from the time of it's origination.

Please remember this is Kodenkan Jujitsu not BJJ. In addition these are only the throwing and grapple arts up to 1st Degree Black Belt with certain arts left out. Each list has 20 to 25 arts and are Yawara, Nage No Kata, Shime No Kata, and Oku No Kata for those below black belt. There are several lists if arts for black belts which I will not disclose for safety reasons. I have yet to see any BJJ artist perform any of these advanced arts. - Gary Bowers Jr. - Sandan - Jinseikan School of Kodenkan Jujitsu.

B J J is just traditional Ju Jitsu, without traditional methods. They like to focus on the ground fighting aspects. Also, they added Judo. Then made a sport out of it.

METAL AND PROUD BJJ is based on Judo not Ju Jitsu. But like you said, they chose to place a greater emphasis on newaza.

+Jr Bowers Konde maeda, carlos gracie teacher, had knowledge of kodokan judo, jujutsu and american circle wrestling... he kinda had his own strategies to get the fight to the ground from the fighting perspective and liked to test it on arenas, reason to be expelled from kodokan as i remember... so bjj has its roots on this 3 arts :p

So, riddle me this would any of you buy a stripped car. Because you definitely buy into stripped down jujitsu. Sad really because this art isn't lost or forgotten thanks to people like Professor Bud Estes and Professor Gary Bowers Sr. May they rest in peace. I do think I will let these arts die with me because certainly no one today is worthy of the beauty contained these arts.
