@nanogonzalezdj33886 ай бұрын
What I do after change color management settings is to apply the Davinvi Panasonic "V-log to v-709" Lut or change the initial chromatic space in each clip (Color tab)
@MarcJWebbMusic4 ай бұрын
when following this guide for the color management part, my clips stay very flat, and doesn't change like your clips do, even though I have set all the settings the same way you have. Any ideas as to why my clips don't really change ? there's a very slight change but nothing at all like yours

The color management section only improved the colors by like five percent I had to put the conversion lut on the clip I used and it looked better then

I just managed to find a couple of them on Shazam. One of them is Clockwork by Hans Johnson, another one is Hope and Heisenberg by Spearfisher. Not sure on the other one.

Hello Sir! Thank you very much. Would love to see the same process for HDR, not only rec709. Soo many talk about sdr, few about hdr and prores raw workflow from start to finish. What about the raw coming from lumix cameras to ninja v? how do you treat that? i would love to see it soo much. i have been trying many softwares and routes, reached my own conclusions but i would love to see your professional approach to grading for hdr delivery from ninja v in prores raw transcoded for resolve.

davinci can't handle prores raw, braw would be a better option

@Cullen Kelly @LUMIX USA I followed these steps, and my V-Log footage never changed to a proper conversion using the Davinci YRGB Color Managed project management. It did, however, correct if I put two nodes and converted the first from V-Log to Davinci WG Intermediate for timeline and then Davinci WG Intermediate to REC. 709 for output color space. What gives?

You also need to specify the gamma and color space of each clip manually when working with footage that's not raw. It could be a bug in v18.4 but it's a good practice to do that anyway as often there are more than one cameras can be used which can have different color space and gamma. In order to do that, select all the files in the media pool, right click and then choose the desired "input color space" and "input gamma". In the project settings if you check "use separate color space and gamma" you'll be able to specify both independently and vice versa.

@@Mionwang All the footage is from an S5ii, and I specified all the correct settings in Project Settings>Color Management.

It’s a bug. It will work if you go to the Color page, select all clips and click on input color space and select Panasonic vlog. Sometimes Davinci is stubborn like that. You don’t need to split gamma and color in the settings page for this to work.
@VisionOneCreatives Жыл бұрын
@@apocryphal_man Thanks. I’ll try that

Some of my beautiful VLOG footage: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pHXTfn53aKqpbM0 and kzbin.info/www/bejne/moG0d6SghNGNmc0 graded with my custom PowerGrade in Resolve :)

I'm beyond all the arbitrary methods. Here I grade my VLOG footage in 1 click for an entire video with my own PowerGrade and my own LUT: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aZSqfGWLnNOebJY - No exposure assists used in the field. Middle grey on subject for VLOG achieved using Zone System from the 1940s, using my eye as my luminance spot meter. Love Panasonic cameras. Been using them since 2014 :)

Unusually for you, one might add. We all know it’s trendy but I think most of us appreciate the calm no frills delivery we are used to from your videos. Not saying the music is badly chosen. It’s just better without music bed, rgb lights and animated logo intro 😊
