Golf coach and PGA professional Georgia Ball, who goes by @georgiagolfcoach on social media, was recording a video of herself at the driving range when she was given unsolicited advice.
The clip has since gone viral, with the uncomfortable encounter highlighting just how important it is to mind your own business.
Georgia, who has 173,000 followers on Instagram, was recording herself working on her game and striking the ball down the range when an unseen man to her left felt the need to try and fix her swing.
Georgia calmly turned to the man after he said "excuse me", and showed incredible patience after he told her what she was doing was completely wrong.

Yea it's not just how much experience you have, it's also your approach to life, some people are constantly learning from their experiences and trying to improve all the time, but most people are egotistic and proud, and think they are already experts when they know only a little. More experience means someone has had more chances potential to grow and learn, but it means nothing if they lived like idiots.

I remember a bloke in the gym trying to tell me where to put my feet on the exercise bike. I ignored him and then I could see he was looking over at my screen, and trying to out-ride me. Lets not take any lessons from him on how NOT to behave ( good intentions aside ). lets take a big life lesson from her, on politeness, modesty, and consideration of other peoples feelings. He tried to help...? He saw bad form and assumed a newbie, so gave input. No harm came of it. Calling it "mansplaining" is pure sexism, him being a man has no relevance on this encounter. Maybe from now on, when a woman crashes a car, we should call say she engaged in a bit of "womancrashing"? Because that's just typical of women, right? It's not sexist in the slightest, right? Does the logic transfer or transmute?

Years ago i was on the range hitting 5 draw shots, 5 fades then 5 straight ones with my 4 iron when the guy in the bay next to me was constantly giving me unwanted advice, saying my grip was wrong, i was taking it back wrong, i shouldn't be using blades and my alignment was off which was why my shots were going different directions. I said they went exactly where i wanted as I'm working on shaping the ball, he then said but you'll struggle to break 80 with blades and a swing like that though.( It is quite ugly but it works)That's when my friend pulled some score cards out my bag and said here's his last 3 rounds. (70/ 68/ 68) -2 to -4. But thanks for the advice...He didn't say a word after that, but proceeded to hook his driver 200 yrds. We couldn't help but laugh.

Ironically I started playing again last year after a 35 year break. After initially topping and shanking a few it all started coming back to me. Obviously when I last played there was no such thing as trackman. They have it at my local range and I've found it very useful and helpful in getting my game back together. However one day I was hitting 5irons off the mat trying to hit draws. And whilst I was hitting a few a lot were going straight with the occasional hook. (I'm a natural fader) The chap in the next bay says. How long have you been playing. "So I said about 6 months So he said" Is that all your hitting them ok but you need to learn to hit them straight. So I said "I'm actually working on trying to hit a draw" And he said "Thats pretty advanced if you've only been playing 6 month you didn't ought to be thinking about that, as I said you want to learn to hit them straight 1st"🤡

Jesus whats wrong with people here? I bet he had good intent and just wanted to help. Why didn't she just tell him who she was and what she was doing followed up by that? You don't think he would listen and it would convince him then? I bet he's super happy sharing his 20 years of knowledge with people especially after seeing something he - AS A COACH - thinks is wrong. Imagine that in the gym, seeing somebody doing something dangerously wrong and you don't help prevent an upcoming accidental injury because that is the same mindset you all have in the comments here. Bet you would be so proud of yourselves then for not giving that "unsolicited advice". People need to practice socialing outside the net more. He should have asked first if he could give advice instead of just giving it but she could've responded way smarter. "Hi there I'm a professional PGA player, I know what I'm doing, just practicing a swing change, but thanks for the kind thought" Takes 5 seconds and would disarm the conversation straight away.

If he had listened, to the part of the DIALOG, what SHE was saying, he might have got a clue, that this woman knows what she is doing. But unfortunately, many people, who thinks, they know it all, do not pay any attention, to what others may have to say … that is the ground problem of many issues 🤷🏼‍♀️

I doubt it. Most people don’t understand the effect of their swing advice. If you don’t understand how to properly swing the club (most people don’t know how), then you shouldn’t give unsolicited advice.

You just know that normal people would have just been super impressed with the way she hits the ball. Two ways of looking at it. Ok he might just have been being friendly and trying to be helpful but the other way is that it was basically harassment. An uncomfortable watch indeed but the vast majority of golfers are level headed and peaceful sorts of people. Do we describe someone like that as a male range pest? Makes you feel like suggesting that ranges should put up a notice saying "Please respect the privacy of other players when they are hitting balls on the driving range. Thank you"

When i started playing i asked a really good player about ball positions and he said keep it simple ,wedges/ short irons -ball inline with right nut, mid irons, ball inline with d***, long irons -ball in line with left nut and make small adjustments if needed. Made me laugh but it got me down to + handicap at one stage so it did work😄😄 unfortunately im off 5 now thanks to injuries and age😭😭😭 dont give advice unless its asked.

Lol I started playing again last year after not hitting a ball for about 35 years. I was struggling to hit my Old "Jumbo" driver 200yards. Meanwhile the 2 guys in the next bay were taking it in turns to stripe the thing well over 300 yards. So I had to ask Is my "Jumbo" driver legal and do I need a new one. The chaps were actually really friendly He said no you're ok legally this is what drivers look like now And held out something that looked more like a stealth fighter on a stick. And after a few quips about my driver and whether I'd stole it of his grandad he said give it here I'll hit a couple with it. And proceeded to hit it 278 yards twice.. He said still works it could do with a new grip. I said don't you mean a new driver and he said well it wouldn't hurt if you wanted to. I bought a second hand set of callaway Irons and a Taylormade driver and 3 and 5 wood a couple of weeks later And even though they were relatively old clubs they are still a massive leap forward from what I had. I'm already targeting breaking 90 before my 1st year back is up. Hopefully I'll make that.

Here's what also probably happened. The guy is clearly trying to flirt with her. Any chance to strike up a conversation and chat to her. I am sure that is partially motivated by the fact that he is staring at her ass and she is wearing skin tight pink/uhh nude colored tights on the range. I do not care what she wears to the range or anywhere else but those will get noticed out there not the most common setting for that. Go ahead and roast me you know it's true. I am not excusing his 'mansplaining' I am just commenting on the situation as to his possible motivations. I think after it appeared she was not interested in his advice he should take that as a hint and leave her alone.

Why is it at pro golf tournaments these people need total absolute silence to concentrate, but professional quarterbacks have to make a split second decision with absolute accuracy with what sounds like WW3 going on in the background just before 1,000 to 2,000 lbs. of weight comes crashing down on top of them.
