2023 was an amazing year for the young Charlie Woods. He participated in multiple tournaments without missing out on valuable family time as he had his father Tiger Woods as his caddie. They competed together most recently at the PNC Championship, where they finished fifth, and Charlie’s exponential growth was clear for everyone to see.
But after a solid year of golf, what can we expect from Charlie Woods in the 2024 season?

Very premature and offensive to be talking about a 14--year-old with such breathless expectations and implied pressure. Let the kid mature, and leave him as a minor story popping up occasionally until he's ready to decide his future, whatever it is.

Charlie has played on national television several times and played very well indeed - (First Eagle at 11 yrs. old! he has the genes -he has the swing - he will become a great player. I doubt he'll ever be as good as his Dad because no current PGA player has been that consistently good.

At this stage of the son's career, he should have several individual amateur1st place finishes. He is 4th best in a 5 man team in his high school. Justin Thomas and DeChambeau at this age have several shelves full of trophys. Realistically, Charlie would be lucky to place top ten at Q-school.

Charlie is still young and has a long way to improve his game. It is ridiculous to expect him to instantly replicate his father’s achievements. Natural talent still requires a lot of nurturing, encouragement, hard work and dedication. In the very near future these jealous people will have mud in their faces. Let him be, he is only 11 years old and plays the game much better than most people double his age trying to play the game. It is not an easy game to play.

Sheesh, the kid is 14 has yet to play at college level much less the PGA tour, he's played about 23 junior tournaments in a small regional section and has finished in the top 10 3 times. And you're already floating the "legend" moniker on him. There are many thousands of amazing golfers in and around the amateur tours who never make it to the PGA. I know the media will ride this kid like a rented pony, for better or for worse, but I do hope they don't. Give him the space necessary to grow and mature into the game. I think having Tiger as your Dad is enough pressure to do well.

Are we forgetting Charlie picked up the game 3 yrs ago. Just before his 11th birthday. Tiger was on the tonight show with Johnny when he was 6. Earl knew what he was doing. He gave Tiger every opportunity to become spectacular. Tiger isn't just great he is gifted with all the attributes needed to be incredible. Charlie isn't like Tiger as far as his training and regiment. I hear a lot of comments about the pressure. He has no pressure except what he sets as his goals. I'm sure he & dad don't waste much time reading opinions. If the kid decides to quit and take up tennis. Neither he or his Dad will make a big deal of it. As far as Charlie's game. Considering he decided to become a golfer 33 months ago I'd say he has the gift. Will he be what his father is, who knows but he certainly has the swing and attitude. I'm quite sure he'll be in a green jacket before he hits 25! He may be the GOAT but let it happen as it does. Remember when some were saying Tiger would no doubt surpass Jack's total majors. Time and alot of other factors make it possible but don't count on it. Jack welcomed Tiger and said there's no doubt his record will fall but to say it's a sure thing is ridiculous. The game has chang d and Tiger had a lot to do with it. He worked out and maintained a rigorous regiment. Look at the athleticism in the top 20. Not many fat out of shape players. That is one factor that creates a level of competition that pro golf didn't have before. So winning 20 majors & 150 events is less likely now. Let's enjoy this kid and hope he brings the same lift to the game as Tiger.

It's going to be an advantage and a disadvantage for him having his father. Hard to get out from that shadow but who better to teach him.

He’s already done things that Tiger never did. It’s fun to watch him and see that level of talent at only age 15.

You don't know anything about Tiger ... REMEMBER Tiger was best young golfer EVERY year ... Then at 15 won Jr AM and THE AM 3 times in a row . Charlie will NEVER be as good as his Dad . BOOK IT DANNO

I predict Charlie will do well in coming years and get a scholarship to a good school like Stanford or Oklahoma State.

Do you have any idea how good the young pga golfers are. They play real tournaments not three day exhibitions like LIV.

Bombed out today +16 - so sad to see the hype and pressure on this guy. He doesn't have a chance right from the get go at that young age. Poor fellow. Remember Ty Tryon? Looks to be an exact replica - not sure if Tiger can handle that after his recent flameout. Tiger may actually be done on the PGA from the looks of it.

Just because he is Tiger Woods son does not guarantee stardom on the PGA tour. If his last name wasn't Woods I doubt we would even have heard of him. Seems as if everyone is trying to resurrect Tiger by hoping his son will take his place, Tiger was a once in a lifetime player and from what I've seen Charlie does not possess the same skills as his dad.

He can accomplish great things having arguably the best teacher and best caddy if they cultivate that on course relationship correctly. What happens to Charlie under tremendous pressure? Will Charlie practice for hours in the rain knowing he'll need that 1 extra stroke is competitors won't be able to gain because they don't play in the rain well? Too easy to take the boat out and dick around with his friends. We shall see.
