Brendan, not sure if you read this, but you WILL be in the NHL again buddy. Just a feeling I’m speaking it into existence. As a Detroit resident and fan, was excited for you to join us, but I always thought playing for us on that historically bad team that year kinda screwed you over some. Didn’t get the opportunities you should’ve either. Hope you’ll continue the videos. Very enjoyable. Stay hungry and persistent. You’ll absolutely be back.

The city isn’t known for many good things but to know that Bakersfield is a hockey city is a honor and honestly not surprised that most of the population here doesn’t realize that. I really like the perspective on the league from your point of view vs that of say a superstar. When you were talking about the numbers and mocking up jerseys on the fan website, it really shows the divide. If you were a superstar that got traded to the team, they would have made a jersey in every number you were thinking about and overnighted it to your house, but for the average guy, they are texting with the equipment manager and trying to figure out what is available and of those, which one wont rub the locker room the wrong way or make you look like you don't care about the history of the team. I only ever had to change my number once because I always played with a pretty unpopular number. When I joined the new team and they told me it wasn't available I was surprised. What made it worse was I often played on the same line with this guy, and we even looked a little similar. Something about it just always bothered me, and I felt like the dude stole my identity or something. I never said anything, but I definitely held some unreasonable hostility for the guy, who did absolutely nothing wrong. I even got a pretty cool number that I think looked better on a jersey, but it never felt right.

first came onto it when I got a concussion in 2017 then I noticed I liked how In every arena it made it the same.. cause sometimes different arenas are lighter and darker

As for numbers, When Matt Stajan Came to the Flames, he asked for number 14, and the Flames haven't retired it for Theo Fleury, but they wouldn't give it to him. Nobody else has used 14, for the Flames, since Theo retired.
