Actually the hearing will only lure them in front of it, not walk into it as closet and locker is deemed 'safe' hence not allowed to enter if closed. It's line of sight tracking that allows ghosts to enter rooms but not allowed to enter closed lockers or closets. Sooner or later though they may adjust it so there can be conditions to make the ghost enter such safe areas, for instance making professional maps have zero safe areas, ghosts will check out anything. I would like it if ghosts don't just patrols during a hunt but have stalking or ambush tactics... Like if the ghost learns where the player locations are before the hunt started, and hides behind the stairs, doors, etc and waits for players to walk by. Even more is ghost having teleporting powers during a hunt by leaving traps around that when a player walks by, triggers a ghost event and teleports the ghost nearby or even allow the ghost to have full tracking of the player's last location as it checks out the trap. A way ghosts can lay traps during a hunt is if they walked by interactive objects. Like light switches, phones, radios, etc. These items will react to players walking up to them during a hunt and gives ghosts a free line of sight.

i love the new beta update and the fuse box being off but surely it's a huge downfall for the jinn? unless you turn that breaker back on (which most of the time in smaller maps especially, the breaker isn't even needed) the jinn cannot use it's power. i feel like a 50/50 whether it's on or off would be much more beneficial and would add that little extra of a chance if the ghost is a jinn. the beta is definitely way better than the regular version as of right now though!

You could shut down a Jinn anyway by just turning it off so I don't really see it making much difference to them. It's always been up to the player whether they want to leave it on or off or not. Loving the new beta features at the moment though!

Jinns also looove turning on the fuse box themselves. I've had plenty of rounds where I had to repeatedly go back to the basement because the Jinn and I were fighting over it. I'm sure they'll find a way :P

@@thebrosthatjustmakevideos my biggest thought was in the bigger maps (asylum, high school) where the breakers are harder to locate, if the ghost is a mare you're essentially screwed, equally if it's a jinn, the ghost is not gonna be able to use it's power which kinda sucks! i don't mind it generally though, it's a pretty nice difficulty adding factor for sure!

Definitely more tricky now. Bring those smudge sticks! Also try and break line of sight multiple times in quick succession - this can be difficult depending on the map.

I really like the common uploads. I really like your content and would really appreciate if you could answer a quick question. I saw your crucifix guide, but I'm very confused on how it works. I normally place it in a door way of the ghost room, but I'm still being hunted. Am I doing something wrong?

Usually ghosts will spawn in the corner of a room. Even in this video the ghost manifested in the corner near the closet. I like to put one crucifix in the doorway and one deeper into the room.

It looks like Oak Nacht kindly helped you out. Just to add - they only have a 3m protection radius, so if the ghost initiates a hunt outside this area, the crucifix won't help and the hunt will begin. Try to place them where you think they will cover as much space as possible in the ghost room. But do remember that the crucfix won't always be able to save you.

I do hope however that they may fix the locker bug i will say, they are kinda crippling you a lot more this update, so it'd be nice if they fix the closet clipping and the lockers so their a valid place to hide. because i fear trying to hide from the ghost may be a bit to difficult so if it sees you, you can't really run into a room like you would've been able to prior so being able to pop into a locker as it goes past would be quite handy.

The beta branch has now smarter ghost ai and they will go to your "last know location" during hunts so basically we cant escape from revenants lol also theres difficulty selector and on professional doesnt tell you now if ghost talks to eberyone or to alone as far as i know. You can switch to beta by just going to steam right click game click properties and click betas and switch it to beta

A thought, with the better ghost AI, would this make items like the sensors more useful/relevant for knowing WHERE the ghost is? If the ghost is capable of following you to the locker/closet, it sounds like it would help to know from where the ghost is coming. Granted, this would only apply to sensors that can relay visual information while at the device as hunts block radio chatter. I personally find it enlightening that an AI change could affect how useful certain devices would be. However, whether or not the meta is affected or not is based on how the player community responds to the changes as the meta isn't created, it's discovered.

I had a ghost just a few hours ago that I argued with for maybe 7 or 8 minutes at least in the spirit box and it refused to hunt me with no sanity and no crucifixs. What an odd Paul I faced :/. I am scared quite well by the no power starting on professional because I dont see well as it is in the dark with my glasses, so Im already blind enough.

Sometimes it's impossible if the ghost room isn't near a sink. Though sometimes it'll clip through walls and either turn the sink water dirty or turn the sink on on its own and make it dirty. It can either be easy or a huge pain

Idk if the devs watch this but if they do... Let's add an old giant barn, a run down abandoned house, a graveyard, a church and some type of factory. Also add different models and some scares. The game doesn't need to be more difficult, people only think that because of the lack of maps. This game is near perfection just needs more maps and different scares. The breathing still scares me but I'm getting more and more used to it.

Would it be too difficult that ghosts get faster as your sanity gets lower? Such as when at 25% sanity they match player speed and at below five they can catch you if you run. Not rev speed but just slightly faster than players.
