For everyone here I think the best message from this video is that for every rep that you do when you’re practicing must have a purpose. Such as the way he says there should be an imaginary defender. If you have no purpose as to why you’re doing these drills then you won’t be able to apply them in the game even if you perfect your touch. Keep working and working on your mind too, your touch and skill is not the only way you will become a pro.
@Aelbereth Жыл бұрын
it's all about muscle memory. You're not able to perform in game against opponents if you cannot perform these technics blindfolded. No matter if you picture yourself a imaginary defender or not. Look at Basketball players. They do the shooting drills every day to get the "touch" and form a muscle memory.

Loved it when you showed your last fail, it means a lot to us, it shows that we aren't the only ones who fail sometimes, but its quite normal to fail a few times in training sessions, afterall these fails is whats gonne improve us...Thanks a lot..

I definetly like this type of football content: simple drills, match relevant, elemental to improving your game. Compared to fancy flicks and stepovers, this may seem to be less cool, but this is relevant to players in all positions in every stage of their climbing of the ladder of footballing skill. So, thank you, Become Elite, I will most definetly be putting this into my freetime solo training!

These are very valuable drills. Remember Cruyff said that accuracy in passing is always the most important part of any game. Not power. Not shooting. Not speed.

As a senior in high school I will be playing in a club for the first time in my life due to them needing players to even play. And I've found this channel very beneficial to me. I've played soccer in the past so I'm not 100 percent new to this but this helps out a lot
@granitesevan62432 жыл бұрын
Focus on how you move your feet, not so much how you touch the ball. The best players take the fewest touches and make sure they're always in a responsive body stance. This combined with a constant awareness of what is around you will make you a solid operator.

Bringing that close control from futsal to 11 a side can be a game changer FOR SURE! QUESTION: On the elastico, do you think it would be better to have a heavier touch to exit, and then reset? I'm thinking this would help you to explode into space PAST a defender, instead of a small touch which could allow them to catch up... Interested to hear your thoughts Matt!
@mahadduale59582 жыл бұрын
i think it's more of a thing to do in a tight space when defenders are on you and you try to use momentum against them to get a little more space. but that makes sense too

It’s supposed to be small so your foot doesn’t touch the ground
@thegrillagorilla110 ай бұрын
I used to do this all the time at school and didn't know it was a legit exercise for soccer! I'd kick it at an angle and do my best to run to intercept it before it passed a certain line on the gym floor, starting from a good distance is a great way to introduce yourself to doing this. Get closer to the wall and/or widen the angle you're kicking at for more of a challenge, I think the back and forth can really help with stamina and is excellent cardio.

Hey Matt I have a problem whenever I do wall passes the ball always starts to kinda lift off from the ground or starts bouncing. How do I keep it on the ground all the time?
@sebastian_Cadena102 жыл бұрын
It could be because of the wall but if it isn’t than it’s probably because your hitting the ball to low or to high try to hit it rigth in the middle and focuse on your technic
@toby52062 жыл бұрын
some walls are like that and the ball will bounce and u can't really do anything about it, u just have to find a different wall
@Kevin-vn5ip2 жыл бұрын
Bro practice practice, that’s soccer, I used to have this problem till I realized the wall was just giving me a bad pass and I had to get better at receiving those “bad passes” practice like that more, it’s helps a lot, especially if you start doing one touch passing while it bounces, that feels good to master lol
@cutz77062 жыл бұрын
Or it could be because the surface your playing on isn’t even but if you practice enough it will get better
@luisgarcia3732 жыл бұрын
That Bounce will help when you get a bouncing pass from a teammate. You will naturally position your body and your foot to keep the ball on the ground.

Nice vid! Really like deep dives into small details. In the elastico touch you said that you cant do the body feint in the same manner as the previous inside outside one which i agree on, but i would suggest that to make it as effective as possible you should really do the body feint before recieving the ball to try to act if as your gonna take a quite big touch so that when you the do the elastico its more that the animation stops that fools the defender than the actual elastico. What do you think?

Hi there, my name is Sasha. I have been following your KZbin channel for sometime and I appreciate the content you guys have been producing, so I wanted to thank you for that because through it I have been able to improve my game A LOT. I wanted to ask if you would be fine with one downloading your videos for offline usage? I wish to watch them offline as I am not always connected to wifi and with blackouts it makes it more difficult. I ask since these are your videos and cannot download them without your permission. I also wish to use them for purely analysis purposes and will not repost on youtube or anything like that. Thank you again for your work!
