I love that fabric. Mom did a fabulous job on sewing those cushions.

This is great. The best idea I’ve seen for reupholstering. I am wonder if you have a slower video of your mom sewing because I could really use some help there. I am not a sewers so I think I have rewound and your video several times trying to see exactly what she did especially around the zipper. A video on her sewing them slowed down at each step would be AWESOME if you still have the raw video. Thank you for your inspiration. I’ve learned a lot so far watching your videos.

I’ll run a table saw all day long, but sewing machines terrify me. Lucky my wife is great at it. She did all the cushions for our last pop-up, while I built new cabinets for it. Nice video - obviously lots of skill with fabric.
@ItsPoppin4 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I agree, this is probably the one part of the renovation that requires true skill. Did you completely rebuild the cabinets from the ground up? What materials did you use?
@ttfweb14 жыл бұрын
It's Poppin' - Pop Up Camping Yes - I gutted out all the cabinets and reconfigured the space a bit so we’d have room for 6. I made the cabinets out of 3/8” prefinished maple. 7-ply plywood, so it was really stable. My wife did all new cushions. We ended up giving that trailer to our daughter and got a bit larger one.

I've watched all nine previous videos, but this is the one that I wanted to see the most and I can't get it to play. Any idea why?
@parkerestes8084 жыл бұрын
I also was unsuccessful getting this video to play - and it's the one I'm most anxious to learn about! I was able to get the other videos in the series to play without problem- do you have any pointers what I need to do to fix the glitch?

I also can't get it to play - were you able to figure out how to do it? All the other videos in the series work for me...?
@ItsPoppin4 жыл бұрын
Actually, it's not working for us either. Not sure if it's a KZbin problem at the given moment, or what. Edit: It wasn't working on mobile, but I tried it on a browser and it worked, so it may be a KZbin mobile problem.

Great channel! So I'm sewing C-clips to my curtains and afraid my #14 needle is going to break if I use the motor. If I advance the needle by hand, the needle starts to bend but will eventually piece the plastic if I turn the wheel slowly. What size needle are you using?

@ItsPoppin4 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I hope the 7-way works out for you. I think the hardest part was drilling through the steel to mount the box, but other than that it was an easy install.

@@ItsPoppin thank you that junction box colors matched right super easy to install drilling thru the frame was the hardest part.

Hi! It seems like we have the same sewing machine. How were you able to sew through the plastic tabs? My machine is really struggling with the Velcro as well. I have tried different feet and my strongest needle. I’m so frustrated. Thank you.

How many tabs did you use in total to hang you curtains? I recently bought a palomino Colt and it didn't have any of the curtains and valances.

Awesome video!! I was wondering how long you made your valences? 8 inches? 10 inches? I watched twice but maybe I missed it ?? 😊
@ItsPoppin3 жыл бұрын
To the best of our recollection, they are cut to 10" and then cased/hemmed down to 8". But, with that being said, you can do whatever works best for your pop up.

How did you get the curtains down? I have a wierd plastic clip sewn into the cirtain. We just want to dye the curtains another color. So i dont want to mess things up.

No, this pop up didn’t warrant that.

Hey guys, quick curtains question here, I'm just wondering, can I use regular 2$ straight white wall hanging curtain rods for the window curtains in a pop up? Or should I use flexible ceiling rods around the windows? I have to use the ceiling ones to hang privacy curtains. I'm not going to have sewed curtains. (I have to use the sewing hem tape.) I don't think I'll have to use the clips that are used to hang the camper's stock curtains then, correct? Any help would be so greatly appreciated!! I'm trying to learn as much as possible before we purchase our 1st pup Thanks for the help from Pittsburgh!!! 😁
@ItsPoppin3 жыл бұрын
Different pop up years, makes, and models use different methods of hanging curtains. So this is tough to answer without knowing what specific method you have.

@@ItsPoppin Ok, yea,...that makes perfect sense. Thanks for replying!! 😀 I'm rather uneducated about pop ups so this is valuable information. Thanks again😁

Heavier, usually an outdoor fabric.

Why does it seem that every pop-up manufacturer uses some of the ugliest fabrics? Perhaps they get it at a discount! Love your choices of fabrics! I never thought of making the lower cushions have a different color fabric but it is a nice way of making it look not so but arse ugly. Can't wait to see #11 to see how it comes out! One thing I do is when making the valence that goes over the door is to make it in 3 pieces rather then one. the one over the door I make 1 inch longer then the door and the two that come up to the door I make them end right at the edge of the door. That's so when you store the door on the ceiling it doesn't pull up the entire valence. After a season or two it wrinkles the valence above the door and that looks like dodo too! Sometimes we camp with the door up because here in AZ. the nights can be a little warm and a bug screen is much better. So when the door is up the valence to either side hangs straight down.
@ItsPoppin3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the tip on the valences!
@wendywilson17363 жыл бұрын
While I appreciate her trying to show us, I needed to see Close ups. I don't get how to sew those tabs to the valances. Or what the purpose of the netting is. Nice fabric choice. That would go in our pop up. But, we have something else in mind, too.
