Professional Spinning Reel Service - Complete Shimano disassembly

This video teaches how to take apart a spinning reel into smallest parts in finest detail. No previous video has displayed this entire disassembly, which needs to be done if you are going to remove all old dirty grease and oil and replace it with new fresh oil and grease. A strategic disassembly needs some logical working order which is highlighted in this video.

I *thought* I was going to do a quick reel lube but after seeing all the pieces / parts that require disassembly I believe I'll put on one of my spare reels and just go fishing. This will be a good project for a rainy day. Thanks!

I took apart my reel and under the like clutch or whatewr its called the thing that holds like the small metal thingy on the pinion gear.? Šo can i get A New one some where? Its A really small part.

Contact the Shimano supplier dealer is my recommendation. I was surprised over how many things they kept in stock.

wondering if you can help, i have a shimano fx200 and i noticed the rotor head appears to have some play ,idk if this is from wear n tear or designed like that, but since it has the quick fire trigger thing for opening the bail it might be no longer as smooth operating as it should be or might be doing more damage when using it since there is possibly too much play in the rotor head ,i dont think its possible to remove the head or fix this issue as i see no screws or nuts to do this, will it come off if i remove the gears or the main arbor(ie post)?

Difficult to say without seeing it but I have noticed that if the play just seem to be impossible to get rid off , a more viscous grease could make a difference in feel

If I were you I wouldn’t go past 4:40 I did and the ball bearings started falling out and it ruined my real.

You need to know what the parts are called. Some of the parts disassembled did not need to come apart to do a full service.
