We made Rally 74. My MC national Presidents meeting (NPM) was held in Fargo which was timed to head southwest to Rapid City. RAINED every day. I was leading a group of us to Devil Towers in overcast conditions, as I looked down our route I saw a wall of water - pulled to side of road, got rain gear on before first drop hit us. It was my first Sturgis. 2021 our NPM is scheduled for Rapid City. The Chip has invited us on Thursday night, can't wait to enjoy seeing & feeling the energy of that location. We Toured Deadwood, paned for gold, saw 4 dead white men in rock, Indian chief in rock and loved every minute of the experience. Yes we road from Central VA to Fargo and Sturgis. Our last day the sun finally peaked out as we explored the Bad Lands and headed back to VA. 2 up with ole lady, she was a trooper - if memory serves 14 States in 14 days. I stumbled onto ur blog and have enjoyed your stories and I'm taking notes for our 2021 journey. I doubt we will ever bump into one another, but I'd like to buy you a beer 🍺. Glad you and yours are healthy and happy and sorry for long comment. L&R Orbitz.

If you don't mind the extra cooking time and the extra stuff to pack. You could braise some steaks then coat them in your favourite fat/oil and grill a nice sear on them. Once you're done with the braising liquid, you could add some corn starch and turn it into a gravy. Bottle of beer (shouldn't be any shortage) and a bunch of your favourite spices would make a great braising liquid.

Harley owned American Rambler RV for a period of time, that might be why it's in poster? I had scuba friend lived in converted Eebee one room school in Oregon. He had a friend that loved guitars, Michael Sewart, grew up in Southern California. Turned out his childhood friends showed for his birthday at the school house, the Doobie Brothers! There was a piano an pipe organ in open living area, an keg of beer in kitchen an backup on ice in garage! The music an beer flowed all nite in private party to music of the Doobie Brothers! Cool! I see them in your poster! If your interested, I was getting ready to run a Mary S. Young Park in West Linn, Oregon when a new black rig pulled up an guy asked if I wanted a running partner! He looked just like Bruce Springsteen, Na, it can't be, what would Bruce S. be doing here in Oregon? (I found out he married a gal from Lake Oswego) So we ran up an down the running trails along Willamette River! I was from Oregon City with its rock wall hills an could take him on the hills, but he was really fast an took me on the flats! Dang! When we got back to our rigs he asked me if I liked music? Ya, love music! Here, sit down an I'll play you some of my music! Out of his stereo blasting speakers came, "I was Born in the U.S.A, I was Born in the USA! I looked at him an he said, "I really appreciated you today, you treated me like a brother, Not Like a Rock Star"!

We're going to the 2021 Sturgis Black Hills Classic motorcycle rally again this year. First time we went, we stayed at the "Downtown Sturgis RV Park". Overlooks downtown Sturgis. It's at the big white STURGIS letters up on the hill that everyone recognizes. Best RV park for the Sturgis Rally!. This year were slumming it an staying at "Hog Heaven Campground". When at the Sturgis Rally, eating was not a priority... Ride everyday to a different destination, find a good bar to party in the evening close to your campground. Have a safe, good time. If you stay at the "Party Campgrounds" you will not be able to sleep at night, because of all the noise. And you will not be ready to ride the Black Hills and other areas in the morning. If you want to go to the Sturgis Rally and party all night, and not ride during the day while your there, then stay at the Chip.

Two outstanding and cheep places to eat in Piedmont area; top one is the American Legion the other is the Slash "J" bar just down the frontage road. Take exit 46 BE SURE TO STOP AT the stop sign. Don't roll through it. Cops watch it well. Don't speed down frontage road or cop will get you. Now head back towards Sturgis on frontage road and about a quarter mile you'll pass the Legion and Slash "J". You won't be disappointed at either place. Remember the Legion is all voluntary and older folks. Give them a break if something happens. They usually will fix whatever it is. You'll also pass a casino and there is a post office right their too if you need to send stuff out. Oh forgot if you want a great experience steak house after stopping exit 46 go up over the highway and on the left is a delicious steak house. A lot of rides go from their. Half to 3/4 mile down Elk Creek Road past the steak house is the camp ground i told you about in last video. Thanks for the input. Also when you get out there next year give me a shout. I will give you a heads up when and where to get cheep/free beer, food, gas etc... I'm the cheap person. I've done the rally for $400 but I stayed at a buddies house that year. To bad he moved!
