I think I want to focus in on pets and mounts. From what I've gathered from your videos I would want to go with Enchanting and Cooking in order to be the most self-sufficient for taming, right?

i think you are wrong here. From others have said, you can send stuff to your alts, but you cannot trade with other players. In the video he even said about having alts so you have all professions and items for yourself, meaning for all your chars.

That's right, no player to player trading. Similar to Black Desert Online, you can only sell/buy with other players via the Auction House system.

Nobody uses them on JP or sells them on the AH because it's too expensive to level alchemy so i have no idea.

Enchanting or Blacksmithing will most likely make the most money, and yes crafted gear is on equal terms with dungeon gear.

ok, so EA has come around on Steam and ther eis no information on how to actually set your craft, when you look at the life tab in the character info window, says you can learn a craft from the president of the crafting union. but when you talk to him and choose a craft(and confirm) nothing happens.. absolutely Zero information on this and it is bugging the shit out of me.

what profession can make most gold? normally alchemy is a good profession in a mmo cause its a consumable. but what you show seems like not much to make gold on.

Thank you. So basically no 'need' to craft, just increase levels of dungeon completions and you'll eventually have end game gear. Do you know if there's a need for farming or money making to make any actual progression. Sounds like this may be final fantasy 14, where your money is useless and used for aesthetics only.

You can get professions at level 1 but to get past craftsman you need to do a high level dungeon.

Nah it's more of just a min max sort of thing it's not big at all, I'd pick whatever profession you want to make money with.

So the question is how good are the crafted armor compared to what you get from drops? Normally issue with gear crafting in lot of game is you get better stuff from end game dungeon so crafting become almost pointless. Also what happen to your armor if you're not blacksmith? Won't you be perm screwed using npc repair with your endgame gear? So there is no trading but you can share stuff between characters at least? Also no trading is so dumb. Many people play with friends so they each take different profession but now its like gotta make your own. I hope they have trading in NA/EU version.

You get crafting recipe drops from dungeons that makes different gear but the same level. You buy hammers off the auction house. You can mail anything to alts and gold is shared.

but aint cooking (which gives u buffs) and alchemy useless ? for example dont we have a Class which gives buffs and healing to other class members ? .. so cooking is only useful to Solo players who dont have proper parties etc ?

The food buffs can't be received from anything else other than food buffs, and alchemy pots can be used so the healer doesn't have to heal you.

then theres no point to have a constant party healers Buffers tanks DDs .. its basically a Single player game where instead of NPC's u have PPL on other characters and u dont have any use/benefit of them .. u cant trade with them .. and when in party with them its kinda u have some pet or Summon which circles and pretends to help yes ? i was Lineage 2 player until NCSOFt scrupled game with new updates .. so for me to play MMO means cooperation and dependence...i have played Skyrim so this game is more like that then l2

+tomestone Don't worry about it. I'm looking at the crafting system right now and I can tell you with certainty that you will not have any problems getting your hands on repair hammers. Even if you don't bother with armorsmithing, many will and many will craft them to sell them (I will if I get an excessive amount) and this means the marketboard will be filled with these repair hammers. It will bring the price down to a reasonable cost. You will be able to buy them no problem.

Can you transfer? Stuff you craft between your characters? Because I watched 1 video of some other channel and the guys said you can't tranfer stuff between your characters. And I find that bullshit... I understand player to player trade is off but man, if you can transfer between you characters well that is bullshit. Can you please tell me if you can or can't transfer items between your characters.

I guess certain classes will want to gravitate towards certain crafting professions because of the bonuses, like mage towards jewelcrafting and guardian towards enchanting for example. Also, I really hope you do not need alts to enjoy the game, I am 1 character kind of guy.

Off topic, but being used to GW2 mount animations, I just can't get over how bad that horse has been animated. Looks super stiff + sped up by like 300%. Not a good sign, they went with quantity and seem to have delivered a bad quality for the mounts.

I really hope they change the repair system. Repair hammers should just be a QoL thing allowing you to repair without going to a BS, not be mandatory to stop your gear from being destroyed. Having health regen food only from cooking is also sort of annoying. Seems like it would have been better to just make cooking give better food than vendors rather than not having food vendors at all. Taming scrolls only being from enchanting is also a bit painful; again you should be able to get base level scrolls from vendors, bur require enchanting for the higher level scrolls. Seems like they went too far with making professions beneficial, to the point of which they are mandatory rather than a choice to have. I don't particularly want to have to make 3 characters at the start of the game just to be able to sustain 1 effectively; or pay the extortionate prices that always exist at the launch of new games to get these items.
