Luke, where have you been all my life?! You are a blessing indeed! You've taught me so much from four or five of your videos than all others combined. You cut through the babble and teach basics in a minimum amount of time--and you manage to do it with such humor and charm. What a gift you have! Thanks for sharing it with us. God bless you. ❤️

wow, I have been trying ti figure out PS for years, and you just enlightened me, and a "light" went off. This is exactly what I had been looking for to create gel photo transfer seamlessly. watched a couple of your videos, and have learned more than the years of looking up information and buying books on photographing jewelry. game changer! I cannot wait to put it to work, and I will "re-up" my PS software that I let lapse! Love, love, love your sense of humor. so fun AND I learned A LOT!!! thank you!

You silly whimsical man! Love your ultra ego Professor Chesswick. The light bulb is getting brighter as I watch various videos you made, I appreciate you, man. I make jewelry and need to take photos of my work. I have an older Canon Rebel T1i 500D camera and some lenses, one is a macro. My birthday is in a few days 9-26-2023 and I have hinted to my wife that I "need" a Speedlite flash (I have already picked out). Pretty soon I will be taking professional photos with the help of your videos. Thank you Angel from The Bay Area/Silicon Valley, California USA

Dear Luke, thank you so much for this awesome basic tutorial on photoshop. I learned also more in it than any other videos I have watched and encourage you to do more! Great job on keeping it light and funny but super informative on these vital basic steps. I also really liked your products photography tutorial, it blew my mind and helped me understand more on photography and controlling light than any other videos in the past from other sources. Also very well done in defining some of the key terms, this is vital to get any understanding of any subjects as you so well demonstrated. Thanks mate! :)

Love the jacket. I don't do photoshop, but this video is just amazing, I understood all of it. Reminds me of my cad software which is pretty complex. You spoke of only needing 20% of Photoshop, is there a free software which contains that 20% which would be all that is required by this amateur with no need of Photoshop. With your subscriber list how has this only had 492 views? Sure it is a long video, but it is damn good. I have not previously watched a video about Photoshop as I don't need it. I had to watch this because you went to the trouble to create it and once again you did not disappoint.

Im confused, the image is black and white?! I agree the blade is more realistic silver but the handle literally looks like you put a black and white filter on it. Dont get how that is realistic... are you able to desaturate the blade individually. Regardless of my confusion there's still value so thanks!

hey well done because your speed of transition to us about knowledge is exactly what we need and as i said to many utubers photographers here we aren't all professionals.some of ourselves we are on the middle and we don't know everything..most of the videos has the funny side inside but it is necessary that because we see the video with more pleasure like we are in school.keep going like this.(so good so good, good,goood) hahahaha i have a question about flashes to you:when you shoot for food photography the lights that you use is continues lighting or you use speed light flashes like the kind that i saw to a previous video with the watch, glass,bottle? wich kind of both do you believe is the best for food photography?
@LukeAyers3 жыл бұрын
Thanks buddy. I believe flashes are always best just because they are much brighter than constant lights. But constant lights can be used too

Why buy from cowboys? I should watch this video and it looks good and you might answer my point in a way I haven't seen, but you'll know the free alternatives. The only reason to learn photoshop (IMHO) is when you work for a boss who doesn't know what things cost.

A softbox directs your light in a single direction, whereas an umbrella is less directional. But both create the same soft light.
