Hi! Which macro lens do you recommend for Sony FX3?

Excellent video! Learnt so much. Was your external flash in TTL mode ? I have Nikon D7200 and Nikon SB910 flash but I am a beginner. How can I use this flash to increase or decrease the power. I could not find that setting.
@LukeAyersКүн бұрын
Glad you liked it! On your flash there should be a “mode” button. Press this to put the flash into M (manual) mode. Then you can set the power level yourself. I’ve never used TTL in my life because in that mode you have no control over how bright the flash will be. TTL is basically automatic mode where the computer decides how bright the flash should be. Never use your camera or flash in automatic modes if you want TOTAL control over how your photo will look

Tell a chef that they must have really good pots and pans for their food to taste so good. Same as crediting the camera.

Absolutely. If he doesn’t use multi-Teflon stainless steel Nike brand pots he’ll never be a success

One of my biggest deterrents to shooting more is the time it takes me to set-up and dismantle a table, soft boxes, power cords, etc. This seems faster and easier.

Parchment paper is great ! But another video suggested cloth interfacing which is less likely to tear or crease
@LukeAyers10 күн бұрын
Yes that’s fine so long as light can still transmit through it.

Why do I always prefer natural daylight to artificial lighting? Which artificial light will most look like natural light?
@LukeAyers10 күн бұрын
Best way to make artificial light look more natural is by softening it. It’s an art though and takes lots of practice to make it look most realistic.
@hiyacynthia11 күн бұрын
It’s not that difficult it’s just extremely difficult. 😆

It looks like your camera is shooting an aspect ratio of 1:1. I tried to set that up on my D3100 and I don't think it can actually do 1:1. How do I go from a Nikon photo to a square photo on my e-commerce site, please? I have played around a lot with my phone which doesn't have so many settings, it can set Exposure, WB and ISO.
@LukeAyers28 күн бұрын
Not all cameras have the 1:1 option. You just have to crop it to 1:1 with editing afterwards
@hesterbornman8927 күн бұрын
@@LukeAyers Ok, thanks. And then if I do crop it, how do I know that it will be the same as the 1:1 ratio on my phone? Do I go by cm or pixel or just eyeball it?
@LukeAyers26 күн бұрын
@ in most photo editors there should be a preset 1:1 crop you can select. Or hold shift on the keyboard and drag your selection box to make a perfect square selection

I used film f3hp's , then d850 dslrs all the best glass , then z9s up mountains waiting for climbers descending overhangs, they just didnt cut it , turning off the camera to save battery life , blacks it out , i couldnt give the z9s back fast enough . If you can use a dslr camera a mirrorless wont make you a better photographer ,
