I'm a geologist who worked for 40 years in the oil industry and have just about the same degrees as Ian Plimer. I don't wish to regurgitate all Prof Plimer's comments and arguments (some of which I didn't know, like the volcanoes of Antarctica), but I support and reinforce every one of his statements. I too have been registered as a crank, even by my some members of my own family, because of my utter disdain for the lack of science in climate change science. As someone who did a lot of stochastic modelling of systems with about 10 variables, I know just how dodgy the climate change models are when those so called scientists are dealing with an order of magnitude more variability than I had to. As a plea to common sense if you live close to the sea, take a look at the beach and tell me if you think the shoreline has shifted in your lifetime?

I'm a farmer and my livelihood depends on the climate, so I pay attention to what's going on around me. My observations, over many decades, is that outside of natural cycles, there is absolutely no evidence of a permanent shift in climate, let alone one caused by man.

Around minute 17, Ian explains the ‘dumbing down’ of our children. I became aware of this decades ago, I’m now 74 with 4 children 2 of each and 10 grandchildren. I could not agree more and I’m sure he was aware of it before me. The single most OBVIOUS thing to me, so many have zero ability to ‘discuss’ let alone debate or argue a controversial issue such as climate change. Here is a fact my youngest son 40yo walked away from a perfectly civilised discussion, and when I began to ask his sources or validation he….walked away and said “I don’t want to discuss it “ I witnessed a university educated young man walk away from “an idea” Thanks Ian you have put fact before deceit. I know about the indoctrination that goes on in schools as I work in one in Britain. It/renewables is crowbarred into every subject; all emails have a zero carbon label on them; there are trips to people pushing net zero products; for British Science week at least one session for each year group is linked to it; their homework diaries have one page on the dangers of CO2, another about the benefits of carbon capture and there are environmental ‘facts’ on every page; texts for SATs papers/reading schemes push it as well; cc being taught under human geography. I have tried/do try to add a different perspective on this issue, but, with everything else that’s going on to push the current narrative, it’s extremely difficult to do so.

I am a Green Architect: spoke to many other architects in seminars to encourage them to go green, after 5 years of promoting Climate Change, the prophecies did not come to pass, and those championing Climate Change were siphoning money for their selfish self-interest, ANd I put my brakes on this and started to review the truthfulness and data to support the Climate Change agenda. and to my shock, there was no data, no model of the temperatures in relationship to CO2 to support Climate change, And to my shock the effect of CO2 is minimal. the ratio is 400:1000 000. to small to have any effect on stopping the sun's heat form deflection form the earth's atmosphere: the greenhouse effect. Furthermore it is not logical to defend the greenhouse effect: if the CO2 was hight up in the sky causing the greenhouse effect: then all plants would have died in need of the co2 which is high above the atmosphere and in turn we would have died too as there would be no O2 as well, and this list goes on and on that NASA had failed the temperature reading and the experiments on acidification of ocean bed were in fact falsified by adding acid to the water causing disastrous effect on the sea shells, and the list of the motive of the Climate Change is exposed and fake, lies and indeed evil agenda to destroy the world by Black Rock whose vehicle is the UN and the democratic party

I just ordered the book. Thanks a lot. I love the common sense. The problem with not spending all the money to get to "net zero" is that a lot of very rich people are going to lose out on trillions of dollars and they definitely do not want that. It would be like a religion that would not survive losing it's followers with all their donations. 1. Create the enemy that nobody can prove exists 2. Make up a story or a book that says how the enemy is an existential threat to their lives 3. tell people it's their fault 4. make up a way of keeping the enemy at bay (because you can never eliminate the enemy) and the cost of doing so - because it always involves money. 5. make the believers pay the price of keeping the enemy at bay Reminds me of a recent enemy spike protein.

There were 3 climate changes last century. 1904 to 1941 was the highest temperature climate of the 19th century, with a high density of sunspots. From 1941 to 1980, the climate was cool temperature with a lower density of sunspots. 1980 to 2009 was a warm temperature climate however temperatures never rose to 1901 to 1941. 2025 We are entering into a 200-year historical mini-ice age climate, recorded since the 1400s, 1600s, and 1800s. The Japanese recorded sunspot data during these early times. However cosmic ray climate effects were discovered in the 1960s.
