I'll be sure to watch out for Lisa's talks in future, fantastic 3 lectures.

She reminds me of what I know about Enrico Fermi. She’s theorist not afraid to get her hands dirty. I can’t figure out which she is, theorist or experimentalist…which in my EXTREMELY humble and insignificant opinion is what a good physicist should be. She’s not afraid to think and talk about what she can’t measure (theorist) while also trying to get at and measure what she can’t measure…yet (experimentalist). You are very precious Lisa Randall, take good care of yourself.

Some of you guys need to learn to appreciate Dr. Randall for her brane

In the previous video she actually joked about how that's the biggest laser pointer she'd ever seen. Seriously, does *everything* have to be big at CERN?

wrt top jets, perhaps a look at the "Time-to" JETS will help ID TOP Q. Certainly decay is time dependent/specific. Might there be a time variant that stands out and can help determination? Can a top go through another loop prior to Jets? I know there was talk of the Higgs (like) found now at LHC having gone through another loop prior to the GGamma and MMuon decay & that loop is still to be determined.And that its timing seemed to indicate such a state.

from 27:30 - 29:00 sure sounds like blackholes made @ cern confirmed....
@brainimp6 жыл бұрын
our planets upper atmosphere is bombarded by particles all the time at much higher energies than the LHC is capable of reaching, so if any black hole did get formed it must die in a nano second at such scales by rapidly losing its energy

that 70's HeNe laser also functions as a DD

lol, what the hell is she holding to point with? 5:50 it's gargantuan. a helium neon laser from the '80s? hilarious.

Yr opinion sounds like wittgenstein's obstinate, quasi-religous anti-science blather. Don't get your toga in a wad, mathematics has precious little to do with "philosophy."
