Professor Matthew Costa talks about the UK STAR trial for treatment of Achilles tendon rupture

A new study from NDORMS at the University of Oxford found early walking in a brace a better treatment for Achilles tendon rupture. Bracing provides similar outcomes to plaster casting with no increase in the risk of complications, paving the way for a big change in the way that patients are treated.
