I loved American history since i was a teenager in my country, At tenth grade high school, I contacted us Embassy in Tehran to send some books about American history for our library. I received 49. Books in total translated in farsi which made a big difference in our high school . I started reading all the books several times over and over and loved the history of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. These books were my best friends , I learned a lot of their dignity and honesty. I could not believe how a person could be so determined, people oriented and well respected. The story of these two great men was fascinating for me , My History teacher at Fullerton college was amazed about my fascination . Great men never dies.

Good video, I'm glad to still see him being lauded by some people, many historians think its fashionable to bash on Washington, but I think he deserves his good reputation. That being said, I wish you had explored more of his faults, since he did have some (as anyone does).

What were they thinking. What were they up against. What sources inspired them in building the Republic? I am trying to avoid getting a book that has been treated by leftist "scholars". Also, please clarify " Ron _sure mile_ " David McCullough seems to have written quite a bit. Is he reputable? It seems so. Is he honest in his work or does he have any liberal contaminations? Same with Ron Chernow. Both authors have interesting titles. My concern is their perspective. Are the objective and honest writers? I have briefly looked at your references. Interesting. Now you mention it, the fact FDR Lincoln and Washington are considered the three greatest presidents is coincidential when you consider the century they became president. Washington was president from 1788-1797 which was in the 18th century, Lincoln was president 1861-1865 which was in the 19th century, and FDR was president 1933-1945 which was in the 20th century. Maybe since we're in the 21st century that means we're due for another great president who we can compare to them.

It stars Mel Gibson as a retired British officer who fought in the French and Native American wars who then takes up arms against the British in the Independence War after one of his sons is killed by a British officer. Well yes, of course it's "just a painting", and painting have long been a place of art and expression, of metaphors and vague symbology. Whispering into someones ear is a pretty standard representation too. This is a painting of a very major part of major events, a time when MANY people GREATLY disagreed on MANY things, AND took MAJOR actions for or against them. It would make sense that there would be a lot of artistic expressions of all sorts of things. A whole video could be made on examining the possible representations in this painting. (You're free to use that idea BTW.) I think its worth contemplating. Its quite clearly full of symbology. We've got washington, a center of events and a center of driving force , standing tall (as well as elevated on a platform,though not of very high elevation) Clearly everyone in the painting is looking at him, as he was a center of change and action, he is also the center of attention in this painting. Some men are standing in what appears to be a praising gesture, while some, are not quite so clearly doing so. Who is that gentleman standing with his arms crossed, staring right at the viewer, with a look of clear discontent? I imagine it would be a time where not everyone agrees on what should be done. Yet there is already someone signing sometihng on the desk there, also elevated, beside Washington. Ben is siting more or less on his own, in the open, with only one gentleman next to him, and he's whispering something in his ear. Does this represent private discussion between Ben and him? Perhaps even decision changing discussions? What else do you see? What do you think it means? I am sure this image is FULL of meaning and representation. (It max be a taxation of representation on your mind to contemplate :)

Defining current politics by region is too simplistic. In reality, all states are some degree of purple. Michigan, a Midwest state, has voted for a Democratic presidential candidate every election since 1988 except 2016, when Trump won the state by only 10k votes. Our state legislature looked red for years because of gerrymandering, but since citizen redistricting, we have a Democratic state legislature. We haven't had a Republic US Senator in decades.

Moving on to my comment that you should stick to the natural sciences: If one were to post a short video on, say, the laws of thermal-dynamics (as you did), and if the information in that video were factually wrong, every high school physics student who saw that video could (and would!) demolish it in the comments section, thus helping protect the uniformed viewer from any misinformation. In this situation, the person who posted the video can make corrections and little harm is done. In contrast, the potential that one might misinform an audience viewing a history video is far more likely; less likely to be corrected by those viewers better informed as to content; and with an increased burden upon the creator to ensure the content is correct and no way misleading. I'm sad to say that, in general, I found your treatment of Washington to smack more of hagiography than history and not consistent in quality with your finer work.
