I am italian. Your accent is very good and this video is very well done. The only thing I found a little weird is at 3:40, we say "vada dritto", not "vada a dritto" (even though if an italian guy says any of the two, you probably won't be able to tell the difference). Other than that, congratulations!

farinap2000 really? I never heard anyone say that, but I guess if it’s said fairly fast you can’t actually hear the “a”

Yes, almost as a sort of contraction... :)

It's better now with full schooling and television present in every home, but Italian pronunciation and dialect can vary between villages that are kilometres apart. Then there's the difference between regions. Try listening to a Sicilian and then a Trevisan...

The practicle sense is quite the same, unless there's a difference in English between "next to" and "at the side of"...

Good job on the video! Just trying to help some confusion in the understanding of the binary M/F from a grammar standpoint. While it's true that modern Italian (only standard, not in the Italic and/or overall Romance languages in the Italian peninsula such as Ladin/Gherdëina or Ladin/Badiòt, Nones, Nortades, Furlân, etc.) tends to interpret the endings in -a as feminine and the ones in -o as masculine (exception: -e), the truth is that there are quite a significant number of neutrality forms "masked" as binary. One example: "L' uovo vs. le uova." In the case of "la mano / le mani," we're not talking about pure neutral forms, but of the IVth declension of the feminine "manus." Hope this helps! 😀

hey, i am not sure to use 'potrebbe' , dont you think we should use 'puoi'? at 1:59

my mom would know better, but it seems to me that puoi is more like "can", whereas potrebbe is "could", so it's the proper way to ask that question.

Hello Dave! Thanks for all of your lessons bro! I would like to know if is possible for you to explain the difference between È di fianco al supermercato (It's next to the supermarket) and È accanto al ristorante (It's next to the restaurant). What I want to ask is the difference between "di fianco" and "accanto".
@ProfessorDaveExplains

I wish you broke down sentences more than just telling us what it means, I love this channel but it kills my interest to just see things to memorize them or just not understand them altogether.
