Italian Vocabulary: In the Hotel

If you're going to travel in Italy, you will probably be staying in hotels. Therefore, you may want to brush up on some vocabulary that is related to all the things you will find in your hotel room, as well as phrases you may hear, or need to say, at the front desk. Italians will appreciate the effort if you speak to them in their own language, especially those in the service industries!

È italianissimo, però francamente non mi pare di averlo mai sentito in un caso come questo, anche se non credo sia del tutto scorretto: in fondo anche in albergo ci si registra. Se si vuole usare una formula più tipicamente italiana e in italiano, credo che quella giusta sarebbe "accettazione", ma è ormai diventato specifico dei contesti sanitari e simili (ospedali, cliniche private, case di cura, ospizi, sedi termali...). In àmbito commerciale e dei servizi purtroppo è ormai del tutto invalso l'inglese "reception" (e quindi "receptionist"). Credo invece che "banco registrazione" si riferisca più che altro al banco del mixer per la registrazione musicale.

È italiano, solo che di solito usiamo la parola inglese reception (la reception, femminile).
