He tries some outside shooting at the beginning because it makes the game more even, but once the kid got a lead on him, he just abandoned the outside shot and started driving the lane, scoring every time. So he's not necessarily letting the kid score, but he definitely isn't trying his hardest at the beginning.

Boy n the orange shirt…it takes integrity and self-respect to admit u were wrong or that u greatly underestimated someone else’s ability and to admit u need to work harder to get to the level u thought u were at n front of ur own people (community u live), and then to praise ur opponent and even ask for an autograph from them. That’s the definition of great sportsmanship and if he were my son I’d b more proud of him for all that over him winning that game if he had. Not to mention, he’s obviously a real contender…he’s a damned good player. Can’t leave out the Professor, either who also shows humility and sets a good example for those who need it,IMO. Great video.

Professor, you are one respectable young man. I don't know your story, but I hope your parents are very proud of you. You are an inspiration to those young kids, which gives you much power. Inspire those kids that look up to you. Tell them, "grow up and be good, respectable adults that contribute to our society in a positive manner... Work hard and follow your dreams." Professor, realize your worth to our troubled world. I am proud of you and I wish you all the best. '

I hope the Professor will follow Bone Collector's steps by going to compete in the Big3 League. That league is competitive and highly entertaining since day 1. Now, imagine if former And1 athletes or Basketball KZbinrs (Ajay Lapray, D'Vontay Friga, Chris Staples, etc.) go in Ice Cube's league. I'm not missing one game the next summer. That will spark the reminiscence of streetball & 3x3!

@david.tousignant203 жыл бұрын
@@htxflow Full court is different than 3x3. I don't think it will be as fun as this league though. FIBA 3x3 has more experience athletes and it is still a fast paced game packed with actions all game long. If Big 3 League could spark the interest for a larger audience... it will be a win-win situation for FIBA and Ice Cube's league.

man this brought me back to being 10, playing in Brockton with my brother who was a 4* recruit just out of Xaverian (his biggest competition in his high school was Matt Hasselbeck and his brother...the only sport they kept him away from was Football, because he hated it. But he beat them out for Basketball, Baseball, Hockey and Soccer as a sophmore) and recruited to Brown. He was 5"10, we were the only white kids on those tops, and then in Stoughton, then back - goin' down Warren, crossing Montello Corner in the City of Champions...and he would play all us kids 3 on 1, and he'd spend all day at the Brockton playgrounds playing 1 on 1 non stop all day, against some great great Boston players. Greatest player I've ever seen (and we went to he Celtics championship games and the Pitino debacle years; saw MJ play live w/Chicago and Washington... and his best friends were Timmy and Sean Grover/one is MJ's trainer, another had their other friend get the sports therapist spot on the Celtics - so he had contacts), he just didn't have the height at that point and dropped out of college too (he f'd up, for a girl). But then on the local circuits, I was 13 and he was 23, he put me on his 18-35 team and he averaged 47 points and 14 assists and never lost for 4 straight years. Nothing will get you more ready as a kid getting to Varsity in HS then playing against grown ass men 4 times a week; and if I ever got into it, he never babied me or saved me, I had to earn that. I'm just saying this because it brought all these great memories back man, thank you. We're too old now, but to see that this is still going on and it's not confrontational (usually, we had fights, everyone does doin this), but the positivity; love it. Thanks again man.
