Alan Moore's Swamp Thing is just beautiful... I was introduced to it while in my Comic Book Art & Culture Class at my college during my Freshman year. Before this I knew who Swamp Thing was mostly because of Blackest Night but I wasn't like a big fan of the character beforehand however that changed when we finally got to some main steam comic series or simply superheroes. Anyways... totally agree with you on Swamp Thing being the best monster in comics.

I wish they would do something more with Solomon Grundy. One idea I had is that they should embrace his role as the "super zombie" and making it so he gets smarter the more brains he eats. Like... there is no explanation why sometimes he only says the nursery rhyme over and over again, other times he talks like Hulk, and a few times he's what you could call intelligent. If they added that characteristic then every time you see him, there's a little tragedy, because if he's talking like the Hulk, then he's already eaten a few people.

Yellasweater Media One thing I loved about the Justice mini series was the Batman files on the Legion of Doom where he has to make a special plan for Grundy because he will out live him. Honestly, I like to think of Grundy as everybody's villain.

Honestly, I would have had to include Marvel's original rendition of Dracula. No, not the modern, white-haired vamp in red leather armor. I mean the OG version from the old TOMB OF DRACULA series, the one from the appropriately-named Marv Wolfman. This is the version always seen in a classic black suit with a long red-lined cape; even his pencil-thin mustache oozed evil. Hey, if it wasn't for Wolfman's Dracula, we wouldn't have had Blade, meaning no BLADE movie, leading to no Marvel Cinematic Universe.

And he's still not as monstrous as the one who sired him: Varnae. Barely looked even remotely human, as a vampire.

man tomb of dracula and giant sized tomb of dracula was my fav as a horror comic. then it was werewolf by night and swamp thing. frankenstein and vault of horror was great...OOOOH and mr.monster was everything to me on that same level as tomb of dracula for me....

Morbius the Living Vampire was 'supposed' to show up in a Blade movie, like Blade 3, but with I am Legend (staring Arnie) coming out, they scrapped the world controlled by vampires and went with....Dracula-ish?
