I would like to know if the list of peaks contains information about Width at Half Height (FWHM). Thank you in advance.
@profextutorials2325Ай бұрын
No, it only reports BGMN-specific width parameters (B1 and k2), but not the FWHM. This is because the fundamental parameters approach (FPA) handles the peak profile different than conventional approaches using peak functions. The FWHM is never determined by the FPA.

Hi, would you kindly upload the file online? the link to download QualX does not work for me.

Hi, the QualX website seems to be down. I can't provide a download link for legal reasons. It seems you'll have to wait for the website to be available again, sorry.

why do you use rms d8?

It's the instrument configuration the sample was measured on. It is important to select a configuration that exactly represents the instrument that was used to acquire the dataset.

Thanks for these videos they are very helpful. I am having a problem where my peak detection wont run. I am using a .raw file from a d5000, but am not sure which of the d5000 option to choose? Perhaps this is the issue?
@profextutorials2325 Жыл бұрын
You should create your own instrument configuration, there is a video describing the process. If you send the raw file to the support email address on the Profex website, I may be able to assist.

Than you for these tutorials! When I run the peak detection after selecting the instrument and pressing ok, the peak detection does not start. It is due to a wrong instrument configuration?
@profextutorials23253 жыл бұрын
In case you are not using the very latest version of Profex (4.3.5), you may have to select the scan first by clicking on it in the "plot options" list before running peak detection (or search-match).

When I click the search-match from the search menu of QualX it shows error dialogue box which says No active Database found which suggests me to Press ok to install/select the database. I already downloaded the COD zip file from Profex but I can't call this file to QualX as a source of database. Any alternative please? Thanks
@profextutorials23253 жыл бұрын
Profex and QualX use different COD database files. You need to download the one for QualX from their website. After logging in with your account, go to the QualX download site and scroll down to the end. There you will find the link to POW_COD. That is the database for QualX.

Is there a way to import the COD database into Profex?
@profextutorials23253 жыл бұрын
@Ana Paulino You can't import the entire COD into Profex and use the internal search-match feature. But you can retrieve single phases from the COD and convert them to the Profex format very conveniently. Check out this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aXLHiaalnMuEe8k

Can I download QualX in macOS? please help im stuck
@profextutorials23252 жыл бұрын
You need to follow the instructions on the QualX website: www.ba.ic.cnr.it/softwareic/qualx/ It asks you to register, afterwards you will receive the download link. QualX is Windows-only, though. As I'm not very familiar with Macs, I'm not sure if there is a way to run it on M1 Macs.
