XRD Baseline Correction with Origin in 3 easy steps | Origin Software | 2023

Welcome to our video on XRD baseline correction with Origin in 3 easy steps. In this tutorial, we will be using the Origin software to demonstrate how to correct baseline in XRD data.
Step 1: Importing Data
The first step is to import your XRD data into Origin. This can be done by going to the "File" menu and selecting "Import". From there, you can choose the file type of your data and select the file you want to import.
Step 2: Baseline Correction
Once your data is imported, you can then apply the baseline correction. To do this, go to the "Analysis" menu and select "Peak and Baseline". In the Peak and Baseline dialog box, select the "Baseline" tab and choose the "Auto" option. This will automatically apply a baseline correction to your data.
Step 3: Plotting and Exporting
The final step is to plot and export your corrected data. To do this, go to the "Graph" menu and select "New". From there, you can choose the type of graph you want to create and customize it as desired. Once you're satisfied with your graph, you can then export it by going to the "File" menu and selecting "Export".

Why should we create a baseline then subtract it from old one. while we already have substract option in peak analyzer dialogue box

Can you explain in detail the logic for changing X and Y.. are we changing the axes? Also, when we pull the points down? Are we trying to make it all in a straight line..what exactly should we look for?

X and Y is changed to fix the previous grap. Sometimes measurements comes wil error because of instrument, signal processing method and baseline used. So in few cases it would be necessary to shift X value. Most cases value X needn't be changed
