Hi all! I was not going to shoot video anymore in angles and settings. there are already two or two videos, but everyone asks and asks questions. I want to shoot for the last time and say something that I didn’t say in previous videos. Apparently he missed or thought that this was already clear. They ask me how I set up, what I set up, what I set up ... In this question, I concluded for myself that the most important thing is repeatability, which should be here, where sharpening will be performed. So I started the settings here on this axis. The repeatability on both sides of the blade is important here in this place. Means
to do this, I set the angle first on one side (I set it to 14 degrees, since the axicub was configured with the help of this device that comes with the kit at 14 degrees) and looked to see if there would be repeatability on the other side. Now you see. that the repeatability is 100%, but when the sharpener arrived there was no such repeatability, there was a difference of three tenths, and sometimes more, but no less. I disassembled the mechanism several times, tried to set it up in different ways ... don’t even do it - everything is well done there, the profile adjusted everything exactly, there are no backlashes, no wobbles, nothing. The only thing he did was lubed everything, pulled it up. Perhaps in principle this is not required. But why then why then was there a difference? And the difference was due to the fact that the hole on the coup bar was not drilled accurately. And since this cannot be done without equipment, I did not touch it in a simple way. First, here, on one edge of the sponge, I glued masking tape and pressed it. I saw that repeatability appeared, after I was convinced several times as a result (in order not to spoil the sponges) I grinded off one side with a thin stone. Filmed until I got the exact result. At first I did it on 2 sponges at the same time (holding a calibration plate between them), but then I realized that this was a mistake and I had to do it on each sponge separately. the result was not stable. When I started to pinch each sponge separately, everything worked out. As a result, even if you move the jaws along the bar, the result is consistently the same and the angle repeats. This is the first thing I started with. The second, in my understanding, important dependency should be here. In my case, this is not necessary, I have an axicub, whoever does not have one needs it. Here and here. I set the goniometer here, reset it to zero and put it on this site. You see the result, the repeatability is one hundred percent to hundredths. I did not set this repeatability. it doesn't make sense to me. Then I installed the goniometer on the base and zeroed it, after that I released the nut securing the overturning bar on the axis and set it straight.
As you can see, everything turned out exactly the same here. While he was setting the bar, he danced a little with a tambourine. Previously, it dangled in an unfixed form and apparently the technostudio reacted to this, now the bar, even not fixed, sits very tightly on the axis. The adjustment is very accurate, the bar is tightly mounted on the axis and it was very difficult to remove it, but naturally then when mounting, only you turn the screw a little, it all went away, here you can substitute something and then press it. The easiest way is to cut two planks into regular squares and put them in. The latch did not use everything when clamping, it just holds tightly. Here, in principle, in the corners, as it were, I think all questions have been closed. They also asked what is this? It was here that I made a semicircular cut that here becomes here in this milled part. It becomes tight, it is even impossible to pull it up. I had a stone fall once and then did so. As you can see, nothing clings, everything becomes tightly very simple. Well, someone there asked the principle of all the health of good for now.
