I attended 3 Concealed Carry seminars taught by Jeff Gonzales last weekend at the NRA Carry Guard Expo in Milwaukee. I came away with pages of notes and a wealth of information. He is the real deal and I appreciate him sharing his experience and knowledge with average guys like me who strive to become more and more proficient as a law abiding armed citizen.

This is one of the best if not the best KZbin videos out there that hits it one the head. Love how calm and direct he came across.

What Jeff had to say was a very pointed stick. He broke it down to the basics in protection and preservation. The Concentric rings overlap, leaving fewer blind spots. We all have our assignment, self directed and we must depend on us, each one in the rings, We must keep the bad guys off balance and worried if the next person will be armed and not willing to be a victim.

Interesting video. I especially like the four circles of defense model, its something that I have tried to explain to people but they still look at me weird. Oh, one more thing...lose the stogie on video, dude, its distracting.

+DJ Arnoldo You said it for me. I thought maybe the repeated focus on the cigar puffing was a joke, but I guess not meant to be. It was distracting to the point of annoyance. With that said, let's focus on training action.

Kudos to every word you said..my mindset is the same..I do whatever I can to try to educate the sheeple to the tyranny and attacks that will come..I'm vigilant to my surroundings at all times. I carry concealed everyday, and I try to encourage people to do the same. It's up to us to protect ourselves from a threat that can arise any given time. You don't have time to wait for police. Also I would like to thank you for your service. Not many people earn that trident and become an elite operator as you have. Thank you for this video.

Mr Gonzales has great things to say and obviously very qualified. However, his cigar puffing tempo is way off and totally distracting to the message. Not saying he shouldn't be smoking a cigar, nor do I think that I could do a better job; however, he's trying to sell his company's services and as such, y'all should re-shoot this spot when he's in a calmer state of mind.

Shoots a Glock from the 1st. Distal Joint and charges it via overhand technique ! A sure sign of some who really knows what they're doing !
@pitbull828 жыл бұрын
That's one thing I've noticed has changed or at least varied over the last few years. "Sling shot" or "slide stop" method. "Pad of the finger," or "1st distal joint." Travis Haley uses the slide stop method. He most definitely "knows what he's doing." "Fine motor skills go out the window during stressful events." I've been under stress overseas, and taking a weapon off safe, as well as squeezing the trigger are fine motor skills. Repetition is most important. What's your view/opinion now, almost 1 yr later? I'm curious, and I'm not being a smart ass "Web commando." Just FYI

Ryan K. I feel that law enforcement or swat actually has more experience shooting cqb with pistols and shotguns. When the sof guys get trained they do alot with law enforcement fbi/dea/cia there kinda a jack of all trades but not the best at any of them
@campsitez23559 жыл бұрын
People don't walk out of the special forces living a life of competitive shooting for a reason. They aren't good enough and that's reason enough to simply not listen to them at all unless your life is under immediate danger, in which case any information is better than nothing... so excluding the unreasonable case, we find no reason to listen to cigar smoking douches who appear on gun channels that also happen to have videos of a drug addict in their videos.
@campsitez23559 жыл бұрын
tag1out Actually they haven't proven anything. Not even in their videos do they reveal targets. Contrary to popular belief, it isn't ok to lie on the internet. Some people still do that. So please, explain why there are zero targets reviewed here? That's lying by omission. Go look it up, you just learned something. The next thing is they're seen shooting at 7 yards, targets are still horrible but they aren't at a relevant enough distance to demonstrate proficiency with a pistol whatsoever. Secondly, the military is notorious for undertraining people. Why else would they view all pistols as "pretty much the same"? It's because their training is "pretty much the same" for all levels of shooters. Self-explanatory but not obvious to someone who can't shoot. You doubted me, therefore you don't shoot. I don't tend to discuss these kinds of things with people like you who don't shoot. Don't say I didn't warn you.
