I've watched a few things about Jonestown and I really feel bad for the members, many really did live a better life within the cult than before. The People's church heavily targeted the downtrodden and disaffected, many of those who joined had nothing before joining and never went hungry after joining. The Jonestown mass "drinking" event was worse than you think. Not everyone drank at once. Many were in on it. Parents made sure their kids drank first and then "arranged" them once they fell. Then groups drank at different times. After seeing what happened to others, many refused and were persuaded, those who further refused were lead away into the jungle by the armed wing of the cult (who ambushed the politician). Some survived by hiding or pretending (others were also away from the compound at the time).

That number 6 one you did a madlads reaction. But it just scares me how frequently people fall for cults. Massive purchases can be illegal if not beought with proper documentation or not having a license. Edit: Jonestown was worse because those that didn't want to drink were forced to and that included children....
