That was a great video, Phil. Happy Thanksgiving. That’s quite a crew and a great spread of food you had there. That rotisserie looks really neat. You’re gonna have a lot of fun with that

Hey Justin. I was very pleased the way this pork roast turned out, and super pleased with how the SNS Kamado with the Rotisserie performed. The meat was delicious with not too much smokey taste. Can't wait to use those super long skewers. You can't hold off a hungry crowd like that long. LOL Janet worked so hard for 3 or 4 days to prepare. Each year we keep saying next year we're going to a restaurant. LOL I say the same thing each year at the end of Gardening season. That's it. You know the rest of the story. Hope you had a great Holiday weekend.

just to say, i really enjoy your grilling shows, and i was born and raised in florence, on rollins av. and second loop rd. i am living in hickory n.c. now and retired, i was living in the philippines for the last 10 years and have been back in usa now for 3 months, i have 3 grills now and love watching you cook and giving it a try on my grills also, keep up the good work

Hello Nick. I know where Rollins is and go thru there about every day going somewhere. Small world right. I think one of my cousins lives in Hickory, and my late uncle lived in the Phillipines most of his navy career. Anyway, glad you like the channel and find it entertaining and informative. This channel is something that just happened after I retired and was looking for a new smoker online. After getting it, I noticed there were no video reviews on it, so I did one and it began. lol Take care Nick and thanks for letting me know your beginnings in Florence.

I'm loving that rotisserie. Really a nice one. Yea we had the camera on the meat during carving, but it had been paused during the string cutting and didn't get turned back on. I did a little inprompto showing a slice from one I did last year. lol Filled in pretty good right. lol Now we have to have homemade dressing, giblet gravy on it with cranberry sauce on the side. It's the best. IMO Thanks for coming by Pickles.

Ahh you have a keen eye just like Ken. Don't miss a thing. I love the rotisserie accessory. I can see a lot of cooks using that. I'm loving how the meat is tasting using the lump charcoal vs blue bag. It's not smokey tasting. I wish I'd known that long time ago. It does burn hotter and burns up quicker, but the taste of the meat is worth it. We had a great day with family, and all the food was delicious. Thanks Joe.

Hey Phil! I know that rotisserie was in your future! Great looking cook and great family get together! We went to my wife’s family on Thursday for Turkey and Ham. Just had my families dinner on Saturday, I cooked a 17 pound Prime Rib and my parents made our traditional meal of Pig Stomach, 4 of them actually. Stuffed with pork and potatoes, 2 also had smoked sausage in them.
@progers50195 жыл бұрын
Hey Craig. Wow, you did the loop and enjoyed some of everything over the holiday weekend. Turkey, Ham, Prime Rib, then something I have not had before. Pig Stomach stuffed with pork n potatoes. What part of the country does this recipe come from. I bet it's delicious. Thanks for watching. You were right, I had to have this rotisserie in my life. lol I'm enjoying this kamado. Did some chicken yesterday. Cooked almost done to 160, then removed the plate and finished off over direct lump to sauce and sear. Turned out how I love BBQ Chicken. Not a big smokey flavor, but more grilled flavor. I also used the butter bath and spritz with apple cidar vinegar. I'm thinking using the lump charcoal makes a difference too. You could probably educate me on kamado cooking.
@beers-jackofbbq5 жыл бұрын
Phil N Florence Hi Phil! Yes, I enjoy Thanksgiving with all of the different meats. Not sure where our Pig Stomach recipe comes from, but this has been our traditional Thanksgiving meal my entire life, I always assumed it was a PA Dutch recipe. We have a video on our channel of the pig stomach if you want to check it out. Here is the link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/raiQnWqHabCjbJY The lump charcoal does make a difference, I am sure you will master that grill like you have done with all of you others!
