try to wiggle or roll the batteries in place.. i've seen them loose contact,.. that could be what's going on.. it should work

It could be you need to try some other codes. Sometimes codes only partially work. If you've tried all the codes, did this remote have a auto code search? I don't remember. that might hit on a better code too.

there are a ton of things you are NOT telling"me" anyway. you didn't say to have t.v. on/off to start. as well as soon as i hit "guide" my t.v. goes to "svideo"shows nothing, it no longer work, show do i get the quide up to view what is on? stil lost

The TV is going to be ON or OFF anyway, there's no other choice!... . Are you hitting guide on the remote and the TV is going to S-Video? The guide is a function of either the satellite receiver box, or the cable set top box? I don't think it'll work just off the TV itself. If the buttons on the remote are acting funny with the TV, You can try other codes. Some codes will only partially work. I don't know if this will help you or not, because I wasn't sure what the question was... But if you have more questions, I'll try to help. Thanks.

@@JLPicard440 Hi, I appreciate you wanting to help. I cannot find a code for my T.V. so i was trying it the way where it finds the code for you, and it is only the T.V. I am trying to set it up for. It actually does work, right now the only issue I am having with it(i can't remember now, it was years ago) is what do I press to get my cable guide to show on my T.V? It did work, all these years ago, then I just started using the service providers remote. I paid over $30 for this and it lights up in the dark(when I watch t.v. in bed) When I press guide that when the svideo appears and goes to the fuzzy screen. I then use the providers remote, go into "source" and put it back on HDM 2, (get t.v. again)that's the one mine works with, there are other options in that list HDM1, HDM2, av1 2, an 3, there's a pc, USB, I don't know what SVIDEO, and YPBPR mean. When I press the red guide button on this remote, it does not show my guide, it comes up that "SVIDEO" If you know anything at all, your help is certainly appreciated! Thanks a Bunch. ooh This T.V. brand is called "AVEIS"

@@deedeewalker5556 I've actually never heard of that TV brand.. but that shouldn't matter anyway. From what it sounds like, you'll have to set the remote up to your cable or satellite receiver box to get the guide to work since the guide comes from there, not the TV. I'm not sure, but you might have to press the sat cbl button on the remote to access it,.. don't quote me on that, but it's a possiblity

I am going to phone them and ask them. That sat button might be the ticket! Do you have a list of what is on, or coming on, your t.v. through whomever you're with? Yea, most modern remotes are geared for a DVD, but you might try pushing some of the other buttons just to see what they do, it might hit on the one your looking for.
