This cell biology lecture that explains about the programmed cell death or apoptosis mechanism by which cell kills itself due to minimise the effect of some infection or any kind of stress. This is simply an outstanding lecture! I am interested in understanding apoptosis because, as I understand it, if this process doesn't work normally free radicals can proliferate and spread. Questions: Shomu, do you have any videos on ROS (reactive oxygen species) and/or how we can detect these in humans? I interested in eating foods high in anti-oxidants and I'm also interested in the efficacy of turmeric supplements as an anti oxidant in order to suppress the formation of free radicals and to assist in proper apoptosis. What do you think Shomu?
