Hmm. Usually if it’ll turn off TV, it’ll turn it back on too. There’s no on or off command, but just power. Did u try all available codes for your brand?

Thank you! I have a blackweb remote up for just incase situations and the backlights to my Roku TV went. Until I can order new led stripes for it I had grabbed my kids old, not that old though, Paw Patrol TV. I have a little Roku box for it but since I got a bunch of Roku tvs I stopped using that TV. The one problem is I lost the remote to it. And its a crazy odd brand that I couldn't find the code for. I know Universal remotes have auto programing but I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to activate it. You saved my night!

@@JLPicard440 well I did. Its a Chinese brand that is mainly small technology and tablets not many tvs. Like head phones and remotes and tablets. So I couldn't fine a code that matches the brand name that actually made the TV. Its only a Paw Patrol design not the name making the TV. I even went on the blackweb remote website and looked for the code. But it works now thank God. I had to search for the Roku TV model number so I can order new led strips. I just wanted to wait for the morning.

Hey there. Just got this remote, trying to use it with a TCL Roku TV, with Xfinity Comcast tv service. Volume, on&off, menu buttons work. Can't change channels or access the guide. The tv info is: Roku 7127X. And TCL Model: 49S405. Any idea how to make it all work with the blackweb remote?

Hi, the codes aren’t set up for model numbers, so there’s no way to tell which code will work for what model... it should change channels though.. Have u tried all the available codes for TCL? That sounds like a smart TV, so some functions won’t work, but it still should work basic stuff like channels and menu

I think on those you have to program the VCR as if it were it's own stand alone VCR. Try to put a Toshiba VCR on the VCR device button and see if it works..

HI. Do you know if that box has a remote that is infra red or blue tooth? If it's infra red, you might try to send out the auto code search to see if it'll hit on anything. I don't remember if this particular remote is teachable from the original remote or not. If it is and it's infra red then it'll probably work. I don't have one of those android boxes here to test it on.

It should be the same procedure except you would use codes for an LG TV. If it's a smart TV, then only the basic functions will work like power, volume, etc. IF it doesn't work at all with the available codes, then I would try the auto code search method.

I think once the power light goes out, it has accepted the code. You'll have to start again by hitting program to get the red light to come back on, so you can enter another code.

You should be able to navigate with the directional keys. Some codes only partially work. Meaning they will work some functions and not others. Did you try all the codes?

This won't work on Roku Stick... It uses RF for remote commands.

This should work the basic functions of your smart tv. It probably won't work the more advanced features like accessing the apps or stuff like that.. but it should work the power, volume, input stuff like that... There should be several codes for Phillips.

Some universals will, but I don't remember if this one does. If you look through the code list, see if there's a category for computers. That would be the easiest way to tell.

I think.. but don't quote me on that ... most remotes do give the option to set up 2 TV's, but I can't remember if this one does or not. If you download the manual, it'll say in there if you can set the Aux button that way.

Those 4 buttons aren't 4 the TV. The manual puts it " Used to access device shortcuts for additional features or custom apps on your device (If supported)". They may not be supported on your Tv.

I'm not sure. Usually this will work a DVD, but I've never tried to see if it'll work on a CD player. You could try some Sony DVD codes and see if they'll work. If not, you'll need a teachable remote assuming you still have the original Sony remote, you can teach from that to the new remote.

How do I know if my remote is a pvk 1,2or 3 when I go to the link it asks which device I have. I choose pcl1 and now my TV is acting weird after I put code in. It turned tv off but now acting funny when trying to turn back on.

I think there's a sticker under where the battery cover is, I think it says something about that inside the battery compartment. Either on the backside of the cover, or you'll have to remove the batteries and it'll be in there.
