To change the engine air filter in your Toyota Corolla you should perform the following steps:
1. Locate the air cleaner/filter assembly on the front corner of the engine compartment on the driver's side of the Corolla.
2. Loosen the clips on the housing cover and lift up the cover.
3. Remove the engine air cleaner/filter from the housing.
4. Clean the engine air cleaner/filter sealing surfaces and the housing.
5. Install the replacement engine air cleaner/filter.
6. Replace the cover and tighten the screws.
How often should the engine air filter be changed in a 2019 - 2022 Toyota Corolla?
It is recommended that you change the Corolla engine air filter every 10- 15,000 miles or once a year.

To be fair , on some cars, the filter change can be a pain such as on my previous Mercedes 1.5 diesel. Thin plastic, torx bolts, quite tricky to put back in same location... Btw, off that cost , the filter (good quality) is like 20-25 GBP. Personally i choose hengst for the cars I had, for corolla, i picked the Mann one. With bosch is mediocre (average filtration surface, 3 layers, seems quite average in terms of filter thickness/ density) , has the same price tag so you're paying mostly for the brand name. I wouldn't touch crossland with a bargepole

All I really needed was a part number for the engine filter. For whatever reason, everyone omits that info. Thanks for the link!! I had to return a couple filters because Amazon said they would fit the car. Input the info and "guaranteed the fit"

Amazon sucks, but if you get it from an online auto parts shop, "guaranteed fit" will actually fit

Thanks for the useful information. I just had the car at the dealer for a tire rotation and they said I needed a new cabin filter. They wanted $42 and I said no thinking it might be something simple that I could do myself. Sure enough and filters are available online for $10 to $15. Thanks, again.

Wow the previous year Corolla 2018 and some 2019 the battery and air filter box were swapped and the air filter does not have the rubber ring around it…
