The air flow doesn't change, it always flows UP. The arrow should point UP regardless of filter type.

I ended up installing a few of the cabin air filters upside down, because i followed the arrow on the door and used an aftermarket filter.

Why won't the inside panel with 2 clips come out in my 2017 Camry? I tried taking 1 side at a time or both sides simultaneously but to no avail. Thanks in advance.

I had the same issue. Get something shaped like a hook and while pressing the tab inward, pull the end of the cover with the hook. Do the same to the other side if necessary.
