Oh wow they've changed a LOT more things than is apparent to make this game less shit. For example, at 14:55, that root going down from the trunk is a HOLE in the original, if you go left from the spawn point you just die immediately, but here it's fine so I guess they also tweaked the geometry/collision for some of these screens to make the game less poopy.

This really is so much fun to watch! It's also funny because thus game is old enough that that WAS still Ganon; Ocarina of Time hadn't forced humanity, and vaguely relatable motivations, to Gdorf's crimes, and he was still more just a Saturday morning cartoon villain. I miss when Ganon was a pig demon sorcerer by default, and it wasn't just a phase of a boss fight with him, when he wasn't sword-fighting you. Anyway, this game is so silly, and has been great fun to actually watch someone play.

@@grubgobbler3917 Each area has it's own theme, even if it's just a slight variation of the stage's main theme. It's kind of impressive how many tracks there are. Someone even made a remastered soundtrack that fixes the looping issue.

IIRC you need the Reflecting Shield from the Gobiyan Ship to defeat Wizzrobe. Also IIRC, you need to climb the mast to find the key that unlocks the ship's cabin.

These boss fights are the most intense and realistic. Working your way to a good position to get just ONE good shot on them and... blip. You love to see it. Zulda is so much stronger than Lank :P

well GameGrumps played the OG version which ran at liek 12FPS and because the CDi has a hard time working with scrolling horizontal backgrounds it was extra slow for that. Now without that "gamesystem" (which was never one actually) and a rebuilt of them via gamemaker it actually feels like an arcade action platformer, minus the quarter munching!

I allways found funny that in every Zelda games, there are random names that are (probabily intentionals or not) onomatopeas words... (i dont know if it is the right word or spelled correctly)... words that sound like other words in different languages... i m francophone and there some weird words: "Goron" in frensh sound like "Gars Rond" that get translate literaly as "Round Guy", or "Hyrule" that sound like "I Rules", "Saria" in french is "Ça Ria" translated as "It was laughing", "Ruto" (a bit more stretchy) "Rut", in french, is an adjective to describe females animals who is in the middle of her reproductive cycle and the sufix "-O" represent a smaller more imature version of the thing (Jules sound like a grown autoritarian man but Jullo sound like a 12 years old boy living in some backstreet of Paris)... or in this game... the town of "Sakadoo" is "Sac a dos" that mean "back-pack"... or it is me who see things that are not there... i mean "Yamamoto Kishimaru"... is a real japanese name... (i let you discover its french meaning)... just like in "Naruto" "Kakashi Atake"...

oh right. if you want to leave a whole level instead of traveling ALL the way back to the entrance, you need to die and NOT continue. letting the countdown go all the way kicks you out of the level since continuing has you checked pointed from the start of the last screen you entered.
