in the japanese version of this game, theres actual cutscenes and theres actual story in the game in the japenese version karnov instead of being russian ex-circus strongman, he is instead a prisoner of god, (no kidding) who after some evil sorcener named alakatai appeared and stole the treasure of the people of cleamina, (by aswell summoning a dragon named "ryu" who is the final boss) karnov is gifted powers by god and sent back to earth to defeat alakatai and recover the treasure, really lame how devolopers cutted every single piece of the story for the us release

i turned off the video when you died multiple times in a 1 way hallway underwater...... you have no spacial awareness whatsoever its made me cringe when afterward you open a room of enemies and take cover not next to the door in the room you were in but take cover inside the room of enemies which has no cover and only a narrow path........

The 104 licking damage reminds me of the Lickitung in the Pokémon anime making everyone freeze up, but in this case it leads to party members fainting. 😂

Agrias using that ether on herself reminds me of why I hate giving guest characters items in this game. Whenever in Chapter 1 of the vanilla game, I always make sure to never teach Phoenix Down to either Delita or Algus, otherwise they'll just wind up hiding in the corner reviving each other over and over again. And that early in the game, Phoenix Downs aren't super cheap.

That's why Jared is my favorite. Let's player, full commitment to the bit.

Hah seeing Jerad struggle has been a real treat.

Anytime you play FFT, I always have to break out my copy of FFTA2 to start playing. And this hack is especially interesting because it's lifting ideas from TA2 into it. The werewolves and Roar for example are actual monsters in TA2, and Roar dispells all units within its range. The sprites between this and TA are also similar, though the creator definitely made changes to make them more fitting here. And speaking of sprites - they used the likeness of an adamantoise sprite from TA2 earlier in your playthrough too! So basically... play FFTA2 already Jerd! ;)

At the 8:00 minute mark, he gets across that bridge like it's nothing. I've tried everything and cannot for the life of me make it. (sigh)

The water in the mouth bit was top tier man! It got me smiling pretty good. I felt inspired and started playing a regular playthrough after watching this run so far.

Hi Jared, just in case you're interested in fixing the 999 damage bug - I did some testing and found a possible fix, at least it worked for me. Apparently, it is something to do with the emulator you're using, as I had the same problem when I tested it myself. Using PCSX Rearmed as the emulator solved the issue for me and it gives normal damage values when used but adds status effects like slow for the Ice Arrow, likely how it was intended to work. Also, you shouldn't have to lose your progress because I made a save on the memory card with the 'bad' emulator, and loaded the save with PCSX Rearmed, so everything was fine. Either way though, I love watching these vids - but if you want more challenge than having Link being able to one shot almost everything... give it a shot :)
